Key responsibilities:

• Support the Cabin Cleaning and Transport Teams by efficiently removing soiled items and replenishing amenities across all cabins.
• Take operational direction from Allocation Control and Cabin Quality Supervisors to meet engagement and turnaround times.
• Use handheld PDA devices to confirm task completion, maintain visibility, and ensure real-time communication with control teams.
• Load new amenities and soft products into each cabin according to aircraft sector and service specifications.
• Remove used items, waste, and amenity stock from all areas, including crew rest spaces, wardrobes, and lockers.
• Conduct thorough sweeps of the aircraft to ensure all areas meet presentation and cleanliness standards.
• Ensure the Node Area remains clear, tidy, and ready for subsequent loading operations.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues to maintain Right First Time delivery and contribute to smooth, safe aircraft turnaround.
• Follow all health, safety, and airside security regulations at all times.

Shifts:

The Airport is operational 7 days per week and candidates will be working on a 5 on 3 off and you will need to be fully flexible with the days and hours you can work. This could be subject to change!

An example of the DAY shift hours for 41.75 hours per week (5 on 3 off pattern):

• Day 1: 06:00am to 14:30pm

• Day 2: 06:00am to 14:30pm
• Day 3: 14:30pm to 23:00pm

The ideal candidate:

• Has lived in the UK continuously for the past 3 years or more , as all successful applicants will be required to undergo a Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) .
• Previous Manual Handling experience.
• Ability to work without constant supervision and follow instructions.

• Brings a strong work ethic, showing reliability, initiative, and a proactive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Safely drive D1-category waste vehicles between aircraft stands and waste facilities in line with airside driving regulations.
• Complete pre- and post-vehicle checks , report any defects immediately, and ensure vehicles are fuelled, sanitised, and ready for service.
• Follow Manual Handling best practices when lifting and transferring waste bags to ensure personal and team safety.
• Conduct waste collections from Cabin Cleaning teams , ensuring all items are removed from lift and node areas within agreed turnaround times.
• Handle and segregate waste in accordance with APHA and airport environmental guidelines.
• Operate the Grundon Compactor , ensuring correct use when offloading waste and adhering to all safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of waste movement and disposal through the use of PDAs or digital reporting tools.
• Conduct clean-up of spillages promptly and safely using approved materials and methods.
• Handle cleaning materials and chemicals with care and consideration to avoid damage or contamination.
• Report any equipment or container damage immediately to the Cabin Quality Supervisor or First Line Manager.
• Ensure all customer equipment and containers are returned correctly at the end of each service cycle.
• Respond to call backs or operational changes promptly and with flexibility.
• Keep lift and node areas clear of any DHL-accountable waste , maintaining operational tidiness and compliance.

We are looking for Airside Drivers to join our team at London Heathrow Airport Cargo Terminals. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with a competitive pay structure and excellent career progression. You will be responsible for airside transportation and cargo handling, ensuring timely and safe deliveries within the airport.

Please note: Applicants must have either:

• Previous Airside driving experience, or
• A valid Class 1 (HGV1), Class 2 (HGV2), or Bus (PCV) licence with proven driving experience.

Location: London Heathrow Airport – Cargo Terminals
Shifts: 4 on 2 off pattern (8.5 hours per shift)

• Early Shifts: Start between 05:00 – 06:00 AM

Pay Rate:

• Basic Pay: £15.31 per hour
• Overtime (after 37.5 hours per week): Enhanced Rates Apply
• Monday to Friday: 1.5x Basic Pay
• Weekends & Bank Holidays: 2x Basic Pay

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating HGV2 / Cat C vehicles and other approved airside vehicles
• Transporting cargo and freight within the airport
• Following strict airport security and safety regulations

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have one of the following:

HGV1 Licence - minimum 6 consecutive months driving experience

HGV2 / Cat C / Class 2 licence - experience in driving vehicles larger than 18 Tonnes - minimum 6 consecutive months driving experience

BUS / Coach Drivers (Double Deck experience) – minimum of two consecutive years of recent driving experience.

7.5 Tonnes Truck – minimum of two consecutive years of recent driving experience.

Airside Driving experience on vehicles larger than 18 Tonnes is beneficial

Additional Skills & Qualities:

Previous airfreight experience – preferred but not essential

A good level of physical fitness – essential

Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure

Strong communication skills (written & verbal)

High sense of responsibility and attention to Health and Safety regulations

Have a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
