Salary Range: $100,000 $25,000 base + ESOP + full benefits
About the Opportunity
Our client, a civil and infrastructure leader headquartered just south of Cleveland, is seeking a Civil Construction Estimator to join their estimating team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates on heavy civil scopes including earthwork, utilities, concrete, and foundations.
Youll collaborate closely with operations, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to produce high-quality bids on public and private infrastructure projects. This is a growth-oriented role in a stable, ESOP-owned company that values technical excellence and teamwork.
What Youll Do
Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and vendor quotes to generate detailed estimates
Prepare cost breakdowns for earthwork, utilities, roadways, concrete structures, and deep foundations
Perform detailed takeoffs and labor, material, and equipment pricing using HCSS HeavyBid and Bluebeam
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids and establish competitive pricing
Lead bid reviews and risk assessments with internal stakeholders
Prepare and submit complete bid packages
Collaborate with build teams and project managers for handoffs and planning
Attend progress and planning meetings as needed
What You Bring
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
2+ years of heavy civil construction estimating experience
Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu; HCSS HeavyBid
Knowledge of DOT specs and utility/civil site construction
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Estimating experience on 5M+ civil projects
Valid drivers license

Basic Qualifications
- University degree in civil engineering or architecture

- Analytical skills with aptitude for figures and data-driven argumentation
- Proficient in utilizing Excel and software tools to deliver vendor metrics and conduct data-driven analysis.
- Written and verbal communication skills in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
- Flexibility to travel up to 50% between Brazil, Mexico and Australia.
