About the Role:
As Information Transfer Design Manager, you will be a key player in the Engineering & Technical team within the Civil Works Programme. This function is responsible for defining the design and technical requirements, leading the delivery of complex civil designs, and ensuring integration with construction and offsite infrastructure.

Reporting to the Technical Engineering Manager, you will oversee the detailing process across multiple scope areas, ensuring the effective transfer of technical information from earlier phases of construction, managing change control, and driving technical assurance.

You'll collaborate closely with Design Managers, Engineering Leads, and the wider supply chain to ensure clarity of technical ownership and that the highest standards of design integration and constructability are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:
Define and validate technical requirements and specifications, engaging with internal technical authorities and ensuring approval.

Manage and drive resolution of technical open points and design changes, ensuring alignment with design delivery schedules.

Oversee technical governance processes and maintain configuration control.

Support technical assurance activities, including digital assurance, to ensure the project's acceptance criteria are met.

Ensure the delivery of co-ordinated detailing deliverables within a 3D environment.

Manage technical risks and assess cost and schedule impacts alongside the Engineering & Technical Project Manager.

Provide technical input for project communications, risk assessments, and stakeholder engagement.

Lead technical co-ordination across various programmes and civil works packages.

Ensure compliance with design management processes and the Construction Design & Management (CDM) Regulations.

Work closely with delivery teams to align design progress with contract schedules and the Integrated Work Schedule (IWS).

About You:
Essential Skills & Experience:
Significant experience in complex, multi-disciplinary design management across concept, detailed design and construction phases.

Strong background in civil engineering structures such as reinforced concrete and structural steel, or in external works like drainage, utilities, earthworks, and site logistics.

Proven technical leadership capability and ability to lead teams and suppliers in a collaborative delivery environment.

Confident in managing and integrating multi-discipline teams.

Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to engage technically and commercially at all levels.

Strong communicator, able to influence across project teams, delivery partners and external bodies.

Desirable:
Experience within the nuclear sector, particularly relating to safety-related civil structures and systems.

Qualifications:
Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).

Chartered Engineer (MICE or MIStructE), or working towards chartered status.

Operational throughout the UK and across continental Europe, we are seeking to expand our team on a variety of nuclear projects, which range in technologies and that find themselves at different stages of their development. The Information Transfer Design Manager will be part of the Engineering & Technical function within the Civil Works Programme and responsible for the technical aspects of the end-to-end detailing process in their specific scope area reporting to the Technical Engineering Manager (TEM) Transverse. The Information Transfer Design Manager will work across Main Civils Works (Nuclear Island (NI) and Conventional Island & Balance of Plant (CIBOP)) and Ancillary Works as directed by the TEM. They will manage and co-ordinate the transfer of HPC construction information for SZC detailing purposes including SZC Client inputs and Civil Works Alliance requirements, manage technical change control, manage the technical assurance process to ensure delivery to quality and co-ordinate technical aspects with technical stakeholders, including EDF Nuclear Services Engineering (was PWRT TCO), SZC Design Authority, RD and L3 Design Supply Chain. They will co-ordinate with the Design Managers of the interfacing scopes and ensure there is clarity of ownership and co-ordination with support from the relevant Programme Engineering Lead(s). Key responsibilities will be:
+ Define or validate the SZC Technical Requirements and Specification, including engagement with EDF Nuclear Services and SZC Design Authority to support approval
+ Manage technical Open Points and Design Changes and ensure they are progressed in a timely manner to support design delivery co-ordinating RD, EDF Nuclear Services Engineering, technical stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts engagement. Working in collaboration with SZC Engineering Integration and other parties to maintain configuration control. This includes progression through the technical governance processes including Replication Principles, Technical Direction Forum (TDF), No Change Committee (NCC), Construction Opportunities Forum (COF) and Non-Permanent Works Change Committee (NPWCC)
+ Support the relevant stakeholders (e.g. RD and EDF Nuclear Services - Engineering) in their delivery of the Design Technical Assurance (including Digital Assurance) for the end-to-end detailing and ensuring SZC acceptance can be provided, including reviews and approvals as defined by the surveillance plans
+ Responsible for ensuring that all Detailing Deliverables are fully co-ordinated, including within a 3D environment with assurance for deliverables
+ Manage technical risks through Risk Management Processes and co-ordination with the Engineering & Technical Project Manager for cost and Schedule Impact
+ Responsible for ensuring technical aspects are shared with the Engineering & Technical Project Manager(s) and relevant Programme Engineering Lead to support their reporting requirements
+ Support the Engineering & Technical Project Manager(s) in technical input for Early Warnings, Compensation Events, Technical Queries, General Communications etc from L3 Design Supply Chain, including engagement with relevant SZC and RD technical stakeholders
+ Co-ordinate, where applicable, technical interfaces across the Civil Works Programme for the information transfer scope and with other parties, for example Site Establishment and Off-Site Infrastructure; NI Programme; CIBOP Programme; and Sizewell B
+ Ensure that the SZC Engineering and Design processes, e,g, Design Management Plans, are complied with to deliver the whole lifecycle of the Design, from Technical Requirement capture to EDR
+ Ensure that Designers and Detailers are undertaking their duties under CDM and engage with SZC CDM-Advisers to support CDM compliance
+ Collaborate with the Engineering & Technical Project Manager(s) in delivery of design in accordance with the Contract Schedule's under their management and linked to the Integrated Work Schedule (IWS)
**Qualifications**
+ Honours Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent
+ Chartered Engineer (MICE or MIStructE) or working towards chartership
+ Experience in the technical leadership of design/detailing of large and complex projects such as nuclear projects (e.g. Hinkley Point C) would be desirable

  • Data Platform Strategy & Designing- Develop data strategy for enterprise data platform, create architecture artefacts, roadmaps, and communication plan for stakeholders.  
  • Driving the impact with high standards: Drive the development of user-centred design well supported with storytelling to deliver impactful data platform solutions. Follow the data architecture best practices through standard frameworks e.g. Togaf, DAMA, while ensuring alignment with industry best practices.

  • Familiarity with networking, security, and identity management in cloud platforms.

In the Experience Delivery team we look after large scale end to end UX, Design and build projects. Our team is made up of creative technologists, UX Designers and Strategic UX leaders. What you'll be doing

As a Bid Manager at Nomensa you will help drive our business forward; by developing winning proposals, managing internal stakeholders and supporting the smooth and efficient running of our bid function.

As well as preparing and delivering successful PQQs, RFPs and proposals; you will support in the team delivering pitches and create engaging content for use at every stage of the sales lifecycle.

What you'll be doing

As part of the Client Services team at Nomensa, you’ll be managing a varied portfolio of exciting accounts in the commercial, charity and government sectors.

  • Working on cutting-edge and interesting technical projects, you’ll be the ‘voice of the client’ at Nomensa. Advocating their needs and making sure that the work we do matches their objectives, and helps them to reach their strategic goals. It’s a commercial role, so you’ll also be involved with pitches, and crafting and curating proposals for the work that we do.

  • Working closely with our experienced practitioners, you’ll act as the key driver and owner of an assigned set of accounts and be responsible for bringing opportunities to closure. You’ll need to get under the skin of opportunities with our clients by understanding their digital strategy, markets, issues, opportunities, and nurture relationships with new contacts within our client base.
  • By initiating workshops and developing strategic programmes of work, the types of briefs you will manage will range from user testing, content design, accessibility, user research, design to full scale digital transformation programmes where we are unpicking an organisation’s strategic objectives and challenges, and having a direct impact on their success through the work we do.

What we’re looking for

You'll be excited by autonomy and understand what it’s like to be a great client partner in an agency – proactively guiding the client relationship, and ensuring that we deliver an excellent client experience. We're looking for someone who is very commercial, with experience of growing accounts and picking up new business activities will be desirable.

You’ll ideally have experience managing projects that are technical in scope/involving the development of web applications (desirable, not essential).

To be considered at the Account Director level, you will bring a track record of accurate financial forecasting, developing account strategies and leading long-term C-suite client relationships with proven commercial success.

As a senior member of the accessibility team, you will have a diverse set of responsibilities.

· You’ll be conducting accessibility assessments on our more complex projects, consisting of the full spectrum of design and code reviews on websites, mobile apps and digital documents. You will verify to what extent they meet recommended guidelines and legal requirements, and document any findings in an easy-to-understand manner.

· For findings on your assessment, you will be providing actionable solutions, helping the reader of the report to solve any problem. You’ll deliver your report to the client with your product team, where you will explain your findings and can answer any client questions.

· Who’s ready to join a friendly team of fellow nerds, ready to work with amazing clients on often complex accessibility challenges.

· Who knows the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines intimately and are familiar with standards that use WCAG for accessibility compliance like the European Accessibility Act, the Public Sector Bodies Regulations, The American with Disabilities Act and Section 508.

· Who has detailed knowledge of Web standards like HTML, CSS, JavaScript and WAI-ARIA.

· Who’s familiar with conducting accessibility assessments on a high-detail level
