We are recruiting for a leading organisation that is investing heavily in their Technology & Digital function and looking for a Senior Technical Analyst to join the team.
This is the senior technical role within the team, responsible for owning the Microsoft stack, shaping cloud services, and driving best practice across infrastructure, security, and device management.

Our client based in Chard who employ over 200 members of staff are seeking a standalone IT Manager to take full ownership of IT operations supporting approximately 100 users in a predominantly Microsoft-based environment. This is a hands-on role covering both hardware and software, with responsibility for infrastructure, user support, and systems management. This role is 100% inhouse working with colleagues who will be supportive and appreciative of you.
Ideal Qualifications
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, or Cisco are advantageous
Skills & Experience needed for IT Manager role
- Proven experience in a standalone IT Manager or Senior IT Support role
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments (Windows Server, AD, O365, Teams)
- Experience with ERP systems and NetSuite finance software
- Familiarity with Power BI and data reporting tools
- Solid understanding of networking, cybersecurity, and infrastructure management

- Support and maintain ERP systems and finance software (NetSuite)
- Develop and manage Power BI dashboards and reporting tools
- Ensure cybersecurity best practices and compliance across systems
- Liaise with external vendors and internal stakeholders for upgrades, troubleshooting, and procurement
- Maintain IT documentation, asset registers, and disaster recovery plans
- Collaborate with Group IT and contribute to wider digital transformation initiatives

- Motivate, inspire, and lead apprentices in the achievement of their apprenticeship on time and to a high standard.
- Develop and deliver creative and inspiring lessons that meet the needs of the Apprenticeship Standard preparing the learner for End Point Assessment and achievement of qualification(s).
- Develop a range of effective resources, including appropriate use of new and emerging technologies ensuring, they are inclusive, promote equality and engage with diversity.
Hours: Full Time, 37 hours
Salary: £35,254.70 up to £5,000 per annum + 000 Scarce skills Bonus
Requirements:
- A technical background gained within Cyber Security and IT, experience working in a Cyber Security setting, or experience in a broad range of technical areas relevant to Cyber Security such as networking or programming.
- A minimum of a level 4 qualification in a relevant subject area such as Computing, Computer Science, Software Development, Cyber security, Computer forensics, or equivalent discipline and sufficient experience in industry if relevant degree not held
- GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (or willingness to complete)
- Assessors’ qualification (or willingness to complete)
- Experience in planning, controlling, implementing, and delivering Apprenticeship programmes in cyber & IT up to and including level 6 standard apprenticeships.
