Job Description

We currently have an exciting leadership opportunity to join L&G Asset Management within our Global Trading and Liquidity Management team as Head of ETF Capital Markets!

This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll oversee the ETF Capital Markets team. You’ll have responsibility for ensuring efficient primary market access, overseeing secondary market quality and surveillance, managing relationships with ecosystem partners and supporting client execution

You’ll work closely with internal investment teams and stakeholders to support new product launches, produce content on ETF markets and assist distribution efforts

What you’ll be doing:

  • Overseeing and managing the ETF Capital Markets team
  • Ensuring efficient primary market access, working closely with authorised participants and providing timely assistance with queries
  • Monitoring secondary market spreads, quotes and trading volumes of the L&G ETF range and improve existing market surveillance toolkit
  • Establishing and developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders and ecosystem partners such as authorised participants, liquidity providers and exchanges
  • Supporting and collaborating with distribution to assist in new business opportunities and meetings with existing clients
  • Partnering with investment teams, product and distribution to effectively launch and support new ETFs
  • Producing analysis of primary market flows, market trends, market structure and themes in the ETF market
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for all trading, liquidity and pricing related queries from internal stakeholders and clients
  • Increasing visibility of the L&G ETF range, with participation in thought leadership and industry events
  • Establishing position as a subject matter expert for ETF capital markets
Qualifications

Who we’re looking for:

Education & Background

  • Strong academic background with postgraduate qualifications preferred but not essential
  • Experience leading, or being a senior member in an ETF Capital Markets team
  • Qualifications, or progress towards professional certifications such as CFA/IMC are desirable, but not required

Skills & Knowledge

  • Extensive knowledge of financial markets and investment management, particularly with respect to ETFs
  • Strong existing relationships with ecosystem partners (authorised participants, liquidity providers and exchanges)
  • This is a role with a high degree of interaction with internal and external stakeholders, so excellent stakeholder management and communication skills is needed
