Job responsibilities- Process Mapping & Technical Consultation
- Support colleagues in mapping future state clinical and operational processes.
- Act as the technical point of contact for all process-related queries.
- Technical Validation & Design
- Conduct technical analysis and validation of processes and workflows across the EPR programme, including Data Migration and integration delivery efforts.
- Create and maintain solution design artefacts including electronic form templates, pre-fill rules, and module interaction diagrams.
- Contribute to the EPR Blueprint and overall design documentation.
- Systems Integration
- Document interface requirements and specifications between MEDITECH Expanse, OpenEyes, and other integrated systems
- Provide information and collaborate with teams leading on system integration.
- Technical Advice & Collaboration
- Provide procedural advice and input at working groups, huddles, and build meetings.
- Support solution optimisation through technical insight and documentation.
- Documentation & Standards
- Prepare formal documentation in line with Trust configuration and development management tools (e.g., DevOps, LeanIX).
- Ensure alignment with operational and clinical safety standards and protocols.
- Ensure that the trusts architecture management platform, LeanIX, is kept updated with new information as it is generated
- Write formal specifications for agreed workflows and integrations, including how each vendors APIs will be used and details of any mappings or customisations required.
- Decision Support
- Support decision-making through the co-authoring of Options Papers and technical design specifications addressing Trust topology and system architecture.
- Transition & Access Control
- Develop Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) matrices in support of EPR implementation and wider ICT transition activities.
- Project Governance
- Provide routine updates on status, progress, and blockers through established project governance channels.
- Handover & Support
- Lead or support design handover sessions, ensuring complete documentation and availability for post-handover support.
- Additional Duties
- Undertake any other tasks as directed by the Design Project Manager, with a focus on delivering EPR roadmap priorities such as prototype builds.
- Relevant University Degree and/or equivalent technical experience in an appropriate field
- Experience with healthcare technology solutions, especially the key workflows and terminology of the industry
- Demonstrable Solution architecture experience in healthcare technology, and an ability to explain their specific contributions to the design and implementation
- Demonstrable experience in clinical solution design involving digital systems and integration within healthcare settings.
- Proven ability to develop technical artefacts describing digital health environments.
- Experience with similar Electronic Patient Record platforms (MEDITECH Expanse(TM) and/or OpenEyes highly desirable).
- Previous involvement in NHS or Trust-based digital transformation programmes.
- Previous experience negotiating workflow and interface development with vendors is useful
- Previous experience with hands-on software development and programming is useful
- Previous team leadership experience (not necessarily line management) is useful
- Familiarity with configuration management and DevOps tools.
- Knowledge and experience with interoperability and interface standards, including HL7, FHIR, REST APIs; and coding standards such as SNOMED.
- Understanding of clinical workflows and governance in hospital environments.

**Your Role & Impact:**
As a Solutions Architect at CIL, you'll drive projects from concept to delivery, shaping Cisco's strategic direction and creating significant value for customers-especially within the UK & Ireland. Your work will span:

Your role is hands-on and cross-disciplinary-blending AI, full-stack development, and creative problem solving. You'll work directly with customers and partners, manage your own tasks, and communicate complex ideas clearly to varied audiences.
Occasional flexibility for travel to customer meetings will be required

**Minimum Qualifications:**
**Education & Experience:**
+ Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, OR
+ Master's degree with 4+ years, OR
+ PhD with 1+ year.
**Technical:**
+ Proficiency in at least one modern language (Python, Java, JavaScript, Go).
+ Experience with software development methodologies.
+ AI/ML concepts, including hands-on experience with LLMs or similar frameworks.
+ Stakeholder engagement and solution presentation skills.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Interest or early experience in Agentic AI systems.
+ Full-stack development: front-end (React, Angular, Vue, etc.), back-end (Node.js).
+ Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
+ Familiarity with Cisco technologies (Splunk a plus).
+ Experience with startups, research institutions, or academia.

U.S. employees haveaccess ( to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings.
Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday (for non-exempt employees), plus a day off for their birthday. Non-Exempt new hires accrue up to 16 days of vacation time off each year, at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay period. Exempt new hires participate in Cisco's flexible Vacation Time Off policy, which does not place a defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use, but is subject to availability and some business limitations. All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco's Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty (80) hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter. Up to 80 hours of unused sick time will be carried forward from one calendar year to the next such that the maximum number of sick time hours an employee may have available is 160 hours. Employees in Illinois have a unique time off program designed specifically with local requirements in mind. All employees also have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
