What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers and back-end developers to create responsive, high-performance web interfaces using React.js

What We're Looking For

We are seeking an experienced Experienced JavaScript Developer (Full Stack) to join our Code team, to help build and support internal and external web applications and APIs to support our game engine team.

The successful candidate will join a small team and user their specialist JavaScript knowledge to be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and system design to implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. You will be working on building internal tools as well as public facing APIs.

This is primarily a back-end role but we are looking for someone who has experience with both front-end and back-end languages, development frameworks, and third-party libraries. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator in order to help other teams fix bugs and resolve issues.

CPS Group is proud to be supporting a long-standing client within the insurance space, as they look to expand their internal tech team with the addition of a skilled JavaScript (Node.js) Developer.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, security-conscious organisation and play a key role in developing high-performance, cloud-based applications that support critical business functions - particularly across call centre and operational environments.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop scalable applications using JavaScript (Node.js, Express, Koa)
* Build and integrate RESTful APIs across various services
* Deploy solutions on Microsoft Azure with a focus on resilience and scalability
* Create workflows and solutions using the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate; minor Power BI involvement)
* Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
* Champion a cybersecurity-first approach across all phases of development
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand technical needs and translate them into deliverable features

Essential Skills & Experience:

* Expert in Node.js, Express, Koa - core to the role
* Confident in building and consuming APIs
* Hands-on experience deploying and managing apps in Azure
* Proficient with Power Apps and Power Automate
* Experience working with CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps
* Strong understanding of secure coding principles

Desirable Experience:

* Experience with C#, particularly within Dynamics 365 environments
* Background in insurance, call centre, or other regulated sectors
* Familiarity with Azure API Management (APIM)
* Exposure to security tools such as SonarQube, Wiz, Axonius, or Qualys
* Experience with CXOne or Nice inContact is a major advantage
