Job Description
Our client is a leading developer seeking an experienced and highly competent Construction Site Manager to oversee residential building projects. This role is site-based and will involve managing operations across various locations in and around Sheffield, South Yorkshire, UK . The Site Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day running of construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This includes planning and scheduling work, managing subcontractors, supervising site staff, ensuring health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to, and liaising with architects, engineers, and clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing residential construction projects, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of building regulations and construction methodologies. You must be proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities are essential, along with the capacity to effectively manage resources and resolve conflicts on site. We are looking for a proactive individual who can maintain a safe and productive working environment, drive project success, and uphold the company's reputation for quality and professionalism. The ability to motivate a team and manage multiple aspects of a construction project simultaneously will be critical.

- Manage and coordinate subcontractors and site personnel.
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations.
- Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks.
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Quality control and assurance of work performed.
- Manage site logistics and material procurement.
- Liaise with clients, architects, and engineers.
- Maintain accurate site records and reports.
- Relevant construction qualification (e.g., HNC/HND in Construction Management, CIOB).
- Significant experience as a Site Manager on residential construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes and best practices.
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in reading construction plans.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Valid CSCS card (or equivalent).
