Our client, a highly reputable property development firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to oversee the delivery of prestigious residential projects in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, UK . This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects from groundbreaking to completion, ensuring adherence to strict quality, safety, and budgetary standards. You will be responsible for all aspects of project execution, including planning, procurement, team leadership, stakeholder liaison, and risk management. The successful candidate will possess exceptional organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to navigate complex construction environments.

- Manage the end-to-end delivery of residential construction projects, ensuring they meet all quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
- Oversee the procurement process, including tendering, contractor selection, and contract administration.
- Lead and motivate site teams, subcontractors, and consultants, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Ensure rigorous adherence to health and safety regulations on all construction sites.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Manage client and stakeholder relationships, providing regular updates on project status.
- Control project costs and manage budget variances effectively.
- Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks to maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Review and approve project-related documentation, including drawings, specifications, and variations.
- Ensure all projects are completed within the agreed timeframe and to the client's satisfaction.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in construction processes and methodologies.
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with a significant portion focused on residential developments.
- Proven experience managing projects valued at £10m+.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, building regulations, and health and safety legislation.
- Strong leadership, team management, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent financial acumen and experience in budget management.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asta Powerproject).
- Ability to interpret complex architectural and engineering drawings.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- MCIOB, RICS, or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.
