Job Description
A highly reputable early years education centre is looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Early Years Educator to join their dedicated team in Norwich, Norfolk, UK . This position is critical in providing exceptional care and educational experiences for young children, fostering their development in a nurturing environment. The role is based at the centre, ensuring direct engagement with the children and the team.

- Plan, implement, and assess a stimulating and engaging curriculum for children aged 0-5, adhering to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Provide a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes children's holistic development, including their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.
- Observe, monitor, and record children's progress, identifying individual needs and providing tailored support and interventions.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and carers, fostering strong partnerships to support children's learning journey.
- Lead and mentor a team of early years practitioners, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure all childcare policies, procedures, and legislative requirements are met and upheld.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure the health and safety of children and staff at all times.
- Prepare and manage educational resources and materials, ensuring they are accessible and well-maintained.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the centre's policies and procedures.
- Organise and facilitate parent-teacher meetings and workshops.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of children's progress and well-being.
- Collaborate with external agencies and professionals when necessary to support children's needs.
- A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education, such as a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (CACHE) or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working within an early years setting, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development theories.
- Excellent understanding of safeguarding children and child protection policies.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- First Aid certification (Paediatric First Aid is essential).
- Enhanced DBS check required.
- A genuine passion for early years education and a commitment to providing high-quality childcare.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the needs of the centre and children.
