We are supporting our Chesterfield-based Manufacturing client with the recruitment of a Mechanical Fitter to join their experienced maintenance team.
We are looking for a talented, passionate and driven engineer who is seeking their next role in a fast paced, heavy industrial environment.
You should be a driven, ambitious individual looking for personal and professional development and a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Ideally you will be a time served apprentice trained individual and hold at least an NVQ level 3 qualification in a mechanical engineering discipline.
Experience with pumps, rotating machinery and bearings are mandatory while experience with steam boilers and pressure systems is highly advantageous.
The rate is 18.10 p/h or 35,298.88 annually. In addition to this there is a callout retainer 4344.48 p/a which is paid in monthly instalments as we operate on days regular (7am to 3pm with 1 week in 5 on call). The total basic package before overtime is worth 39,643.36 per annum. There is an expectation for a level of overtime as any attendance to callouts is paid at your premium hourly rate (time and a half Monday - Saturday) (double time Sundays and Bank Holidays). We also have regular planned maintenance shuts where we expect a 12 hour shift to be worked to support engineering activities, this is once every 5 weeks.
