Job Description
A new opportunity has arisen for an exceptional individual to lead event production across a range of tech events.
The role will involve the end-to-end production of a global programme of tech events, managing relationships with relevant stakeholders and ambassadors, developing a comprehensive and strategic annual event programme, and, ultimately, contributing to and executing on our vision across the Founders Forum Group.
You will have the opportunity to design and deliver community-driven events and get embedded into the tech ecosystem, liaising with top-tier speakers such as previous FF guests Eric Schmidt (Google); Reid Hoffman (LinkedIn), Evan Spiegel (Snap), Whitney Wolfe Herd (Bumble), James Corden (Actor), Greg Peters (Netflix), Demis Hassabis (DeepMind), Emily Weiss (Glossier), Al Gore (Generation Investment Management). the list goes on!
This fast-paced role will require ambition, strong analytical research and project management skills, a strong commercial focus, the ability to build relationships with senior industry and government figures, and the ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities.
Key areas of responsibility:
End-to-end production of a series of technology events, including:
- Project Management: Lead your events from conception through to on-site delivery, collaborating with the wider team to ensure seamless execution
- Research: Follow the latest trends and innovations, and seek out new speakers with a diversity of through, geographies and sectors
- Programme Curation: Craft and develop relevant and impactful agendas, integrating new and creative content formats to keep our community engaged
- Partner & Stakeholder Management: Support the partnership team to integrate sponsors into your programmes, host advisory board meetings, and manage relationships with event co-hosts
- Relationship Management: Engage with the FF ecosystem throughout the year, keeping in touch with key teams and founders, identifying how the FF team can add value
Requirements
Experience and qualifications:
Required:
- In-depth knowledge and experience of the B2B event world, with 3+ years in a similar role
- Experience of successfully delivering large-scale, multi-track events in a fast-paced commercial organisation
- Extensive conference production experience: market research, agenda development, speaker acquisition, successful onsite delivery
- Extensive event project management experience
- Commercially astute with proven experience as a practical deliverer
- Demonstrable experience of the ability to forge positive relationships with multiple different internal and external stakeholders
- Passionate about the tech and startup world and keen to learn more
