Job Purpos To ensure that all allegations or concerns about adults who work with children are managed effectively, in line with statutory guidance. The LADO provides advice, guidance, and oversight to ensure that safeguarding concerns are addressed promptly, fairly, and consistently across all agencies and organisations.Key Duties and Responsibilities Lead the management of allegations against professionals, carers, and volunteers working with children.Provide expert advice and guidance to employers, voluntary organisations, and partner agencies.Liaise with police, social care, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to coordinate investigations.Monitor and track the progress of cases to ensure timely and appropriate resolution.Maintain accurate and confidential records using the LADO case management system.Prepare and present reports, including the annual LADO report, to senior leadership and safeguarding boards.Support and challenge organisations to improve safeguarding practices and safer recruitment.Promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement through audits, reviews, and training.Escalate concerns where organisations fail to meet safeguarding responsibilities.Essential Experience Required Substantial post-qualification experience in safeguarding children.Proven experience in managing complex safeguarding cases and inter-agency working.Strong understanding of statutory guidance including Working Together to Safeguard Children and Keeping Children Safe in Education.Essential Qualifications Required HCPC registeredAdditional Information to note This role is 36 working hours per week.Enhanced DBS is required for this role

Experienced Children's Social Worker, who is confident in completing a range of assessments of children and their families, including Child and Family Assessments, Parenting Assessment and Sibling assessments, managing a range of cases, Child in Need, Child Protection, Child in Care, and cases in legal proceedings, both Public and Private Law. The candidate should also ideally have experience of undertaking Joint / Single Agency Children Act 1989 Section 47. The candidate will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and have a working knowledge of Signs of Safety. Whilst the candidate will be supported and supervised by an experienced, permanent Practice Supervisor, it is expected that the candidate will be able to work independently, and be confident in decision making in the best interests of children and families. The candidate will be expected to lead multi - agency plans support children and families, and will have the benefit of working with Lincolnshire strong Early Help / Future 4 Me colleagues. The candidate will be required to be part of a weekly duty rota on a rotation basis, on these weeks the candidate will be required to be office based for all 5 days of the week. On the other three weeks flexible work / home arrangements are in place, with an expectation that the candidate will be in the office 3 days a week, and able to work from home the other 2 (but must be available if required to visit).
