Financial Services organisation is hiring for a DevOps Engineer to join their team on a major project within a leading London-market insurance client. This role offers the chance to combine hands-on engineering with strategic consulting, helping to design, implement, and operate modern cloud and DevOps capabilities to support underwriting, claims, and operations in a highly regulated environment. This is a permanent role in the City, with a hybrid / flexible working pattern. Salary ranges between 75K - 100K, depending on experience.

Responsibilities include:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for applications, data services, and
infrastructure.
- Build and maintain cloud landing zones (Azure/AWS) with environment segregation (dev,
test, UAT, prod).
- Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation)
- Embed security and compliance controls (SAST/DAST/IaC/SBOM).
- Enable observability (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting) and support SRE/incident
management practices.
- Partner with client stakeholders to align DevOps with FCA/PRA operational resilience and
Lloyd's standards.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including resilience testing.
- Mentor client teams in DevOps best practices and drive shift-left adoption of testing,
security, and compliance.

Skills & Experience:
- Proven expertise with CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab).
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS in enterprise or hybrid environments.
- Familiarity with containerisation & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of security controls and compliance in financial services.
- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, AppDynamics, etc.).
- Awareness of UK/EU financial regulations (GDPR, PRA/FCA, Lloyd's).
- Consulting experience desirable - with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and
influence practices.

We’re working with a leading Lloyd’s Managing Agent to identify a proactive and knowledgeable Senior Sanctions Analyst to join their compliance function.

This is a key role focused on processing sanctions referrals from a wide range of underwriting teams across an array of high-risk international territories, requiring a solid grasp of current sanctions frameworks and strong stakeholder communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and process sanctions referrals from underwriters, ranging from straightforward to complex cases.
  • Assess referrals across multiple high-risk territories including Russia, Cuba, Iran, and Sudan.
  • Apply up-to-date knowledge of international sanctions frameworks (EU/US/UK) to assess compliance risks.
  • Review slips and supporting documentation to evaluate exposure and advise on required actions.
  • Liaise directly with Syndicate clients and a range of internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely responses.
  • Collaborate with sanctions technicians and analysts to escalate and resolve complex matters efficiently.
  • Support compliance with Lloyd’s market standards and contribute to the development of internal screening practices.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working in the Lloyd’s or London Market Insurance is essential.
  • Strong working knowledge of international sanctions regimes, including sectoral sanctions (e.g. oil & gas transfers).
  • Ability to interpret and apply sanctions lists across different jurisdictions and corporate structures.
  • Familiarity with underwriting processes and technical documentation (e.g. slips, basis of acceptance).
  • A self-starter who can manage their time, workload and documentation with minimal oversight.
  • Comfortable working within a Compliance and Financial Crime team.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
