About You
As a Platform Tech Leader, you will lead critical incident and technical problem management efforts, providing expert leadership in resolving complex technical issues. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring optimal operation and security of all IT systems and infrastructure and bridging the gap between Platform and Product teams. About the RoleWe are seeking a qualified and motivated individual to fill the role of Platform Tech Leader within our organisation. The successful candidate will be pivotal in maintaining and advancing the company’s core platform, delivering products worldwide. The focus of the role is broad, ensuring that the Platform and systems operate at optimal levels, owning technical problems and coordinating the resolution of complex technical issues. You’ll be committed to ensuring that documentation and diagrams provide reliable references for system architecture, and gaps are addressed by anticipating future needs. Daily responsibilities and objectives are to lead critical incident and technical problem management. You’ll provide technical leadership ensuring the resolution of complex technical issues. As a senior member of the team, working with the Platform Team Manager and Head of Platform you will foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. You’ll be well organised and experienced with coordinating people to ensure swift resolutions. You’ll be able to see the bigger picture to prioritise across multiple streams of work. You’ll manage relationships with internal stakeholders, conduct regular reviews and audits and, identify areas for improvement. - To provide a robust, secure, scalable Infrastructure that supports the needs of the company and customers.
- Ensure continuous operation and security of all IT systems and infrastructure, bridging the gap between Platform and Product teams.
- To develop and share best practices with the team providing training and guidance when needed.
- Understand the lifecycle of the estate, hardware and software.
- Be a key point of contact for major incidents, problems and issues.
- Review existing systems and platforms and recommend and lead improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for improvement, contributing to the overall design of the estate.
- Promote standardisation and innovation and be proactive in looking for opportunities to improve service delivery.
- Ensure that Disaster Recovery is regularly reviewed and tested.
- Responsible for ensuring KPIs around availability and security are met
- To ensure all changes to the environment are managed and communicated effectively.
- Perform prescribed daily, weekly, monthly and annual technical & security tasks.

- Experience in the design, development, installation and implementation of IT Infrastructure Solutions.
- Experience with working with Software Development teams, DevOps Engineers and understanding of IAC
- Experience of working with ISO27k, CE+, PCI DSS and other accreditations would be beneficial
- Ideally used to working in Secure environments e.g. police, defence etc
- Experience of being the final point of escalation
- Deep understanding of on-premise IT infrastructure – spanning networking, storage, hypervisors, server hardware, and Active Directory & Cloud.

Our Supply Chain and Manufacturing team are problem-solvers, sourcing, producing, and delivering our much-loved brands to delight customers around the globe. We operate Guinness packaging facilities at Marshalls Road in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and Runcorn, in North West England, producing canned, bottled and kegged product for Ireland, UK and export markets. Significant investment is underway at both of these locations.
This role is site based at Runcorn which is an 18 Acre site running a 24/7 Operation with 4 rotational crews. It has 2 Bottling, 2 Canning lines and 1 Kegging production line. There are 90+ SKUs with 16 different Beer/Liquid types covering producing on average 23million cases of product per annum.
**About the Role**
Reporting to the Beer Packaging Engineering Manager, Maintenance Utilities Manager oversees the utilities maintenance, service operations and also the facilities management. The role involves ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, driving continuous improvement, and leading Utilities and facilities service through the specialist contractors. In this role, you will collaborate across multiple site functions with engineering, operations, compliance and with external partners delivering key improvement projects. You will strive to define greater efficiencies in particular, water, energy, gas usage and aims to enhance asset reliability and overall manufacturing efficiency.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
+ Manage the optimal operation and maintenance of utility systems such as boilers, refrigeration, water treatment and electrical systems
+ Implement cost savings opportunities and Continuous Improvement activity through focused projects
+ Coordinate projects relating to upgrades, modifications or installations of new utility systems
+ Drive projects to reduce site energy, carbon, and water usage aligned with site key performance indicators for environmental management
+ Prepare budgets for Utilities, Facilities maintenance operations and monitoring of expenditures
+ Provide technical solutions through Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS) and promote the practice with contractor management teams
+ Act as a leader in maintaining 5S and Asset Care standards.

For this role you'll need to have a minimum HND or degree level qualification in electrical, mechanical or chemical/process engineering subject areas.

This role is site based at Runcorn which is an 18 Acre site running a 24/7 Operation with 4 rotational crews. It has 2 Bottling, 2 Canning lines and 1 Kegging production line. There are 90+ SKUs with 16 different Beer/Liquid types covering producing on average 23million cases of product per annum.
**About the Role**
Reporting to the Beer Packaging Engineering Manager, Maintenance Utilities Manager oversees the utilities maintenance, service operations and also the facilities management. The role involves ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, driving continuous improvement, and leading Utilities and facilities service through the specialist contractors. In this role, you will collaborate across multiple site functions with engineering, operations, compliance and with external partners delivering key improvement projects. You will strive to define greater efficiencies in particular, water, energy, gas usage and aims to enhance asset reliability and overall manufacturing efficiency.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
+ Manage the optimal operation and maintenance of utility systems such as boilers, refrigeration, water treatment and electrical systems
+ Implement cost savings opportunities and Continuous Improvement activity through focused projects
+ Coordinate projects relating to upgrades, modifications or installations of new utility systems
+ Drive projects to reduce site energy, carbon, and water usage aligned with site key performance indicators for environmental management
+ Prepare budgets for Utilities, Facilities maintenance operations and monitoring of expenditures
+ Provide technical solutions through Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS) and promote the practice with contractor management teams
+ Act as a leader in maintaining 5S and Asset Care standards.
**About You**
For this role you'll need to have a minimum HND or degree level qualification in electrical, mechanical or chemical/process engineering subject areas.

+ Undertaking actions that contribute towards the success of the WSP business strategy, whilst being self-motivated towards goals relevant to the role, team, and your projects.
**What we will be looking for you to demonstrate.**
+ Relevant environmental or planning degree (or equivalent experience), with chartered status or actively working towards chartership.
+ Demonstrable experience in delivering Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for onshore renewables schemes, including under a range of UK planning regimes such as the Town and Country Planning Act and the Planning Act 2008.
+ Familiarity with relevant consenting processes associated with onshore renewables projects, including Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA). Understanding of how these processes integrate with the planning system and EIA for onshore renewables projects
+ Capable of leading client communications and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, regulators, and the public, with a solid understanding of public consultation and stakeholder engagement processes.
+ Knowledge of emerging environmental and planning policy trends.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong report writing and review capabilities, attention to detail, and a focus on quality assurance.
+ Proven people management experience and a track record of developing and upskilling internal teams.
+ Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic planning, win new work through bids and proposals, and enhance reputation in the onshore renewables sector.
