The Manufacturing Process Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• Degree Qualified in Mechanical Engineering / Advanced Apprenticeship or equivalent work based experience

• Be able to read & interpret engineering drawings

• Verify manufacturing processes are fit for purpose and achieving quality and performance targets

• Provide training and guidance to colleagues for existing and new equipment

The company provide medical mobility equipment for both domestic and commercial clients, these include stairlifts, hoists, slings and other crucial devices. This varied and autonomous role, you will be responsible for developing and optimising assembly processes, identification and implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives, spotting assembly line issues, collaboration with Quality and R & D teams and analysing data to drive continuous improvement strategies. This is a Monday to Thursday 8AM-4:30PM shift, with a 1:30PM finish on a Friday.

This role would suit a Production, Process, or Manufacturing Engineer looking to play a pivotal role within a large manufacturer who will help you progress your career and give you full autonomy to be a major player in the business.

• Skilled in structured problem-solving (Root Cause Analysis, A3, 8D, Six Sigma, DMAIC, or PDCA).
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools.
• Proficiency in process control and built-in-quality tools (PFMEAs, control plans, capability studies).
• Ability to apply statistical analysis techniques (Minitab or similar software experience desirable).
