Join Our Quality Control Team as a Quality Control Scientist!

Are you ready to take your analytical skills to the next level? Our client, a leading organisation in the industry, is on the lookout for a passionate Quality Control Scientist to join their dynamic team in Heysham.

Please note - The initial engagement will span six months, with the possibility of extending the contract or transitioning to a permanent role contingent upon the project's success.

Position Details:

  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm
  • Starting Rate: 13.49 per hour - Opportunity to upskill and grow with the company
  • 6 Months with the possibility of going permanent or extension.

What You'll Do:

  • analyse raw materials and samples using validated analytical techniques with precision and accuracy.
  • Follow quality system requirements and procedures to ensure smooth material approval.
  • Maintain meticulous records and update the Laboratory Information Management System.
  • Conduct safety audits and promote a clean, safe working environment in line with EHS policies.
  • Collaborate with team members and take on additional tasks as needed.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in a laboratory setting is a plus, but not essential-your enthusiasm to learn is what matters!
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to make sound decisions.
  • Excellent multitasking skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.

• Processing the bill of material

• Maintaining design and engineering configuration control

• Identification of tooling and digital manufacturing process requirements

• Providing shop floor support to the manufacturing teams

• Applying and supporting component condition of supply requirements in line with the HS&E requirements and regulations

• Embodying engineering and design changes

• Identifying product quality and cost saving opportunities

• Applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

Your skills and experiences:

• Experience in Mechanical Process Planning in one or more of areas of Assembly, Carbon Fibre Composites and Machining components

• HNC or higher level or recognised apprenticeship and experience of working as a Mechanical Process Planner in assembly and detail manufacturing

• Knowledge and experience of Manufacturing processes and manufacturing experience in the aerospace (or equivalent standard) industry
