Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Rochester, Kent.
Salary: Circa £40,000 dependent on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Driving the implementation and improvement of technology-based initiatives across the manufacturing facility by researching new and emerging technologies, carrying out feasibility studies, cost analyses , and capital expenditure proposals for new equipment
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy smart manufacturing solutions
- Driving automation and connectivity projects to improve system-to-system communication and overall business efficiency
- Monitoring and troubleshooting integrated systems and identifying opportunities to improve production performance
- Developing and maintaining data analytics tools for process optimisation, predictive maintenance, and real-time monitoring
- Ensuring all digital and automation projects adhere to safety, quality, (cyber) security and compliance standards
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Qualification in a relevant engineering discipline or time served in a similar role (HNC/Degree)
- The ability to analyse complex problems, identify critical issues and develop solutions
- End to End experience in introducing new technologies / tools into a business from concept through to implementation
Desirable:
- Experience gained within a manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous
- Familiarity with 2D and 3D CAD packages
- Hands on experience with tools such as Python, JavaScript, VBA etc

This job opportunity is for a fast growing manufacturing company specialising in the manufacture of concrete casted materials. We are a small team of 3 with a lead manufacturer.
Your job will be to work directly under our lead, completing the final stages of manufacturing, packaging and fulfilment. With the aim to progress this role in to a managerial position in charge of order fulfilment, purchasing, scheduling and dispatch control.
Day to day tasks will include (but not limited to)
1. Removing casted products from their moulds
2. packaging casted products
3. sealing/staling casted products
4. preparing samples for customers
5. Preparing pallets for collection
This is a factory position which can be messy and dusty so not for the faint hearted.

- Etching parts using specialist hand tools
- Operating a band saw when required
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment and workspaces
- Recording production data on a touchscreen system
- Completing paperwork to track tasks completed
You will have:
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment li>A good level of physical fitness
- Experience using hand tools
- Access to your own transport due to location
- A solid CV demonstrating reliability

- Good understanding of the principles of the operation of applicable components, working knowledge of documentation control within a highly regulated industry and knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques including Root Cause analysis.
