**Responsibilities:**
+ Provide support for purposes of repairs and maintenance.
+ Undertake routine preventative maintenance requirements for manufacturing, facility and labs to improve plant uptime and equipment reliability.
+ Development of preventative maintenance activities in conjunction with plant improvements and improved ways of working.
+ Supporting where required specialised contractors carrying out routine and reactive maintenance tasks.
+ Solving faults and failures in processing equipment including identification of corrective actions linked to unplanned engineering breakdowns impacting safety, service and product quality.

+ Support keeping the CMMS and other data sources accurate and current.

+ Ensure the workplace is kept clean and tidy in line with 5Sprinciples, improving efficiency.
+ Provide cover for all aspects of site support as defined within local procedures.

**Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:**
+ Post-secondary education and/or a technical trade certificate/apprenticeship/traineeship.

**The Manufacturing Manager:**
Reporting to the Operations director the incumbent will lead and integrate the existing Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (AST), Liquid Supplements and Freeze Dried Supplements teams to create a single autonomous Operational Cell.
The role holder will be accountable for manufacture of ASTs along with Liquid and freeze dried supplest supporting revenue of approximately $70M dollars.
Accountable for developing an impactful team of approximately 50staff both direct and indirect reports working towards common goals.
Ensures all products are manufactured in a safe, quality and timely manner that will meet customer expectations while meeting all cost commitments;
Is accountable for the overall performance of all aspects of the AST, LF & FDS Operational teams including safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity;
Provides leadership and guidance to their peer group / support functions ensuring that product scheduling, production planning, material and equipment availability within the Operational Cell are effective in achieving their customer and financial goals;
Accountable for ensuring that PPI is used to drive continuous improvement within the Operational cell acting as both an advocate through personal actions and coaching of their team.

Lead and mentor the team to ensure high-quality and timely product manufacturing, elevating performance through effective partnerships and mentoring.
Oversee department spending within a £2.5M budget, developing financial/capital spend arguments to ensure business benefits.
Drive performance using a tiered accountability process and problem-solving tools, leading critical metrics to reviews to identify gaps and implement countermeasures.
Incorporate Lean Leadership practices like Visual Management, Stand-Up Meetings, GEMBA Walks, and Leader Standard Work, using lean techniques to eliminate waste and drive continuous improvement.
Ensure a flexible, trained team with comprehensive training and cross-training, mentoring your team promoting colleague engagement and accountability.
Set goals, prioritise, and coordinate improvement activities to meet business objectives while driving corrective actions alongside seeking opportunities to improve efficiency and customer service.
Maintain accurate staffing levels and coordinate work assignments, role modelling "Right the first time with the customer in mind." Perform duties safely and consistently with the Code of Ethics and 4-I Values.
Other duties and cross-training as assigned, deputising for the Site Lead when required.
