The Role
As the Manufacturing Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Scheduling of production campaigns and management of team workload, li>Line management of team members – including target setting, one-to-one meetings, employee appraisals, < i>Ensuring cGMP compliance and a safe working environment,
- Monitoring manufacturing progress by leading team meetings,
- Approving key QMS documentation.
Current / Recent Experience Required:
- Extensive line management experience within a manufacturing / production role (essential).
- Prior experience working within a cGMP-compliant environment (essential).
- A degree (e.g. BSc / MSc / MSci / MRes) or professional experience related to DNA / molecular biology / biological sciences / biochemistry (essental). li>An understanding of cleanroom procedures (desirable).
Profile Required:

- Happy to commute / relocate to Cambridge (essential).

We are looking to recruit a Hygiene Operative to work at our Rice Mill in Fulbourn. They will be reporting into the Hygiene Supervisor and will work with another Hygiene Operative to maintain the cleanliness of the Mill, in particular the production areas

- Follow the Hygiene Schedules and any instructions given by the Hygiene Supervisor
- Ensure good cleaning practices are adhered to at all time
- Report and/or undertake any temporary repairs necessary to prevent further spillages.
- Carry out your duties in a safe manner following company health & Safety guidelines
- Ensure daily cleaning documentation is completed on a timely basis
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with Company Food Safety, GMP and Hygiene policies and procedures at all times.
- Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of your work area by adopting a "clean as you go" policy.
- Ensure that all chemicals are stored and handled correctly
- Ensure you use appropriate PPE at all times.
- Work as part of a team to ensure the Mill and external areas are cleaned in an efficient manner
- The Mill covers 7 floors so can be quite physically demanding.

Your responsibilities…
· With support from experienced engineers, design and improve mechanical mechanisms for precision motion control and vibration isolation systems
· Demonstrate some knowledge of concept, design, development and testing of theoretical designs following concurrent engineering approach
· Produce detailed specifications of the product from data analysis gathered from testing
· Brainstorm, discuss and review technical challenges with team members, sub-contractors, suppliers and manufacturing departments to find root cause and resolution to the problems
· Demonstrate some knowledge of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) in component and assembly designs
· With support from experienced engineers, ensure Design for Compliance is implemented in the design
· Ensure a product can be made reliably and will perform consistently in specified operating conditions
· Plan and oversee the product development process and ensure deadlines are met
· Consider implications of issues such as cost creep, compliance, safety and time constraints and with the assistance of experienced engineers, apply strategies to minimise them
