**The Role**
The main purpose of the Quality Control Inspector role is as follows:
+ To carry out inspection of components, assemblies and documentation to ensure compliance to product and package standards
+ Implementation and maintenance of the Business Management System (BMS) according to ISO9001 standard
+ Support Value Stream delivery teams where required in meeting customer delivery commitments
This is a permanent role based from our HQ in Renfrew, paying £37,500. The shift pattern is straight dayshift, with working hours being either 07.00 - 15.15 (Mon- Thurs) and 07.00 - 13.00 (Friday) OR 08.00 - 16.15 (Mon - Thurs) and 08.00 - 14.00 (Friday).

**What will you do?**
+ Inspection of components, assemblies and documentation at goods receipt, in process, suppliers and prior to final despatch to ensure compliance with required specifications.
+ The initiation, monitoring and close out of corrective actions where deficiencies in materials, manufacture and design are found
+ Create and maintain inspection records to accurately reflect end to end product manufacturing and packaging activities
+ Ensure correct calibration of measuring equipment used in manufacture and inspection. Appraisal of new measuring equipment and / or techniques to ensure cost effectiveness
+ Work alongside Documentation Control team to ensure all project related documentation is accurate, on time and meets customer expectation levels
+ Review & approve relevant supplier documentation such as weld procedures, NDE procedures, Hydrotest procedures and material certification etc in accordance with code & client requirements
+ Liaise with clients & witnessing authorities to meet contract requirements. Support inspection/process review activities at Sub-Contractors Works
+ Comply with relevant work standard instructions in line with HCO Business Management System (BMS)
+ Use CBS approach to promote Built in Quality concepts into Standard work. Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Commercial and Procurement teams to drive improved manufacturing and supply chain performance and early defect detection
+ Ensure adherence to company environmental, health and safety standards in compliance with company policies to ensure a safe working environment and the minimisation of environmental impact.

+ ONC/HNC in an engineering subject and / or proven relevant experience in Quality
+ Problem solving ability, capable of thinking laterally and coming up with innovative solutions

+ Experience of the control and maintenance of quality reports and records
+ Experience of planning, completing, reporting and follow up of inspection activities

GENERAL SUMMARY

Working as part of Celeros Operations Management team, the primary role of the Manufacturing Manager is to act as the first line of management accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the machine shop, and the weld and fabrication areas.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

On an ongoing basis, the Machine Shop Manager must assume full responsibility and will be held accountable for the following:

  • Driving a positive / safe working environment ensuring housekeeping and visual management is maintained at the highest of standards across both the machine shop and weld and fabrication areas.
  • Lead and manage meetings from startup meetings, communicating all key messages including but not limited to SQCDIP, safety alerts, quality warnings, toolbox talks and daily priorities.
  • Maintain and communicate machine shop and weld and fabrication areas performance ensuring visual management boards are used in all areas. This will guarantee to employees, colleagues, customers, and other managers from across the organization can review and understand status and key KPI tracking.
  • Steer positive KPI results, ensuring you hold true to our company values including always doing the right thing. Always leading by example.
  • Be responsible for and manage a proactive and sustainable 5s culture within each accountable area.
  • Take a positive approach to coaching, developing and performance managing cell team members when required.
  • Ensure standard operating work procedures are created, maintained and followed.
  • Monitor and Control actual versus estimated operation times. Improving where needed and holding the team accountable to the planned times.
  • Identify and implement operational improvements.
  • Ensure productive work is allocated to team members in line with the schedule and overarching business plan and forecasted revenue.

  • Driving booking discipline and guaranteeing it is always maintained.
  • Leading quality to the required standards, raising any quality concerns as soon as possible.
  • Deliver regular communications to team members, peers and other functions.
  • Liaise with appropriate support functions to resolve issues and potential production stops in a timely manner.
  • Implement and preserve safety Gemba walks.
  • Conduct periodic audits as required by EHS and Quality departments.
  • Raise NCRs as and action when required.
  • Facilitate and action any corrective actions.
  • Any other duties as deemed reasonable.



PEOPLE MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

As a People Manager responsible for the effective management of people you are accountable for:

  • Previous supervisory/management experience within a similar manufacturing environment and industry.



DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

  • CWEng or European Welding Engineer certified or other formal qualification advantageous.
  • Working knowledge and experience of ASME and EN weld procedures qualification, material specifications and welding processes.
  • Engineering qualifications.
  • Working Knowledge of ASME Section II, EN and RCC-M materials
  • Able to meet the requirements as defined in ASME IX QG 106 and CUP QA Program
  • Ability to interface technically with other departments – Engineering, quality, supply chain and material management.

**We are hiring a team leader to join our manufacturing team at the Inchinnan site!**
As the Team Leader you will be responsible for the activities of a department on shift to assure production employees are always safe, making product to quality standards and in turn meeting schedule and equipment efficiency service requirements.
You must effectively communicate information to supervisor, managers, and colleagues, relative to the condition of the facility equipment and personnel performance.
