Job Description
Manufacturing Engineer – Where Precision Meets Purpose
Location: Nr Daventry | Salary: Up to £50,000 | Contract-to-Permanent
There are places where craft still matters, where vehicles are produced by hand to bespoke requirements. Where every detail is deliberate, and nothing leaves the workshop unless it's perfect. In a focused corner of the automotive world, a small and dedicated team are building something special — and now, they’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the journey.
This isn’t mass production- It’s low-volume, high-impact work. Manufacturing Engineering that demands finesse, curiosity, and a genuine love for how things are made. If that sounds like you, read on.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll join a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer role, shaping how these vehicles come to life — from process development for new model launches, to refining how the existing range is built, you’ll drive improvements in Project Management, Safety, Quality, Cost Management and Product Delivery.
Expect to get involved in:
- Creating build timing plans and manpower support
- Design Reviews
- Process Instruction
- Standard Operating Procedures
- Line Balancing
- MBOM Management & Part allocation
- Assembly sequencing, Process & Procedure Documentation, and Product Traceability methodology
- MES System – Vehicle Build & Control
You won’t be handed a rulebook. You’ll help write it.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who thrives on detail, thinks laterally, and approaches each challenge with clarity and calm. You'll need around 2 years' experience in a similar role, and ideally exposure to:
- Low-volume or specialist vehicle builds
- Complex vehicle systems and assembly processes
- Safe working practice implementation
- Assembly tooling or equipment procurement
- Fast-paced environments where quality comes first
- A flexible approach to travel within the UK may be needed on occasion.
Why This Role?
Because this isn’t just a job. It’s a chance to be part of something rare — where engineering is as much about instinct as it is about numbers. Where the standard isn’t "good enough" — it's “world class.” Where “everything is important”.
If you’ve been waiting for an opportunity that values skill over scale, detail over deadlines, and passion over process — this could be it.
