Following the award of new long-term programmes, a global manufacturer of precision components supplied to sectors including aerospace, automotive and defence have a new vacancy for a Manufacturing Engineer. The role will play a key role in developing new manufacturing processes, ensuring daily productivity targets are met and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the plant. Candidates are sought who have a good understanding of precision machining processes and experience developing robust engineering solutions.

The Role:

Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes.

Develop manufacturing capabilities.

Work with the Development Team on NPI.

Investigate root cause and corrective actions.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product flow and continuous improvement.

Support manufacturing areas to ensure daily targets are met.

Develop and maintain process documentation, workflows, and technical specifications.

Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for any production issues.

Monitor and improve KPIs such as throughput, downtime, and overall equipment efficiency (OEE).

    • Understanding of mechanical presses or similar application.
    • Nickel alloy materials
    • Induction heating and slitting processes
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manage tolerance stacking across operations.
  • Evidence of strong mechanical problem-solving capability.
  • Practical knowledge of tool design; familiarity with SolidCAM is a plus.
  • ERP system experience (advantageous).
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks (training can be provided).
  • Experience with metrology equipment and methods is beneficial.
