Estimator Key Essentials:
- As Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and quotations for bespoke machines and related engineering projects li>Review technical drawings, specifications, and project scopes to ensure commercial viability and technical accuracy
- Liaise with design, procurement, and production teams to gather accurate cost data
- Identify material, labour, and manufacturing costs with appropriate mark-ups
- Work closely with clients to clarify project requirements and propose adjustments
- Support the sales and tendering process with timely and accurate pricing
- Maintain a pricing database and estimation records for ongoing and completed projects
Estimator Requirements:
- Proven experience in an estimating / technical sales support role within engineering, manufacturing, or industrial sectors
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems or products
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications
- High attention to detail, strong numeracy, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Excel and Autodesk Inventor estimating software
