ARC Norwich, Industrial are recruiting for Window Fabricators to join their Norwich based client on a Temp to Perm basis.
The ideal candidate will come from a manufacturing background and be confident carrying out the following duties:
- Use of hand tools
- Adding locks and handles
- Ensuring quality of products is maintained
- Reporting any defects to the production manager
- Keeping the warehouse tidy
- Quality checking
This role is offered on a temp to perm assignment.
We have two fixed shifts
Day shift Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm
Afternoon Shift Monday to Thursday 3pm to 12am / Friday 3pm to 9pm
Pay Rate £12.25ph PAYE weekly pay (other pay options offered)

Responsibilities for the Manufacturing Engineer job in Norwich:
- Provide day to day engineering support and expertise in production for released products.
- Evaluate new and existing production lines to identify improvements to manufacturing process, analytical requirements, and equipment; advise appropriate engineering personnel on manufacturability, process robustness and equipment requirements.
- Ensure the smooth transition of new products into manufacturing (NPI).
- Co-ordinate the activities of personnel involved in engineering investigations and new product pilot runs.
Key skills and experience required for the Manufacturing Engineer job:
- Education: bachelor's degree - Science in Engineering / HND/ Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Experience in production engineering.
- Expert knowledge of electronic engineering principles, practices, and techniques commonly employed in the design and production of electronic products.
- An in-depth understanding of Lean Manufacturing.
- Understanding Kaizen practices is preferred.

**What you'll do:**
+ Support daily production, troubleshoot issues, and drive productivity.
+ Lead cost engineering design initiatives, continuous improvement kaizens in production, and automation projects to improve efficiency and yield.
+ Collaborate on new product introductions and implement robust manufacturing solutions.
+ Conduct root cause analysis and implement resolutions.
+ Work on a multitude of tasks exploring new technologies and concepts.
**What you bring:**
+ Degree or HND in Electronic Engineering.
+ 3+ years' experience in production or manufacturing engineering.
+ Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
+ Bonus if you're familiar with LabView, TestStand, or lean manufacturing tools.
