We are excited to be recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Engineer to join a global business in Chester. This role is crucial for the design, development, and continuous improvement of mechanical components and manufacturing processes within the lifting equipment industry, focusing on safety, quality, and performance.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Design mechanical components and develop complete assemblies using SolidWorks.
  • Create and maintain detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Support the prototyping, testing, and validation phases of new product development.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage materials and Bills of Materials (BOMs) within SAP, including scheduling, usage tracking, cost control, and inventory oversight.

  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.

Shift coordinators generate daily and weekly information to support performance reviews of our operation and any improvement activities identified from the reviews. You will also work with new product development teams to coordinate and plan trials when needed.
