In this position you will manufacture Electro-mechanical products to meet production plans, ensuring assembly, inspection and test is carried out using Lean methodology.
You will be working to specifications and instructions, using the correct tools, methods, and equipment. Meeting exacting standards expected by the customer.

**Job Description**
**Essential Responsibilities:**
**Environment / Health / Safety:** Compliance with EHS adherence to safe working operating procedures from the perspective of their own safety and safety of their work colleagues.
**Product on time delivery:** Responsible for the build, test, and repair of products to the manufacturing plan.
**Product Quality** : Responsible for the build quality of the product in line with the standard operating instructions. May be required to assist in the training of others.
**Product cost:** Responsible for the efficient manufacture of the product, respecting and adhering to defined processes.
**Continuous Improvement:** Implement where instructed, process improvement actions that will result in sustainable productivity improvements without impairing product quality, delivery performance or safety. Make proposals that you feel will deliver improvements and savings in line with GE processes and policies using the Employee Ideas Scheme.
**Support:**
+ Productivity / Leakage / Efficiency Improvements KPI.
+ On time Delivery KPI.
+ Product FTPR (First time pass rate) KPI.
**Maintenance:**
+ Working to Lean practices, follow routine maintenance schedules and cleaning plans for workstations, jigs, and fixtures.
+ Highlight any issues to the Production Support Engineer/Coordinator.
+ Take part in 5S Audits and maintenance plans.
**General:** As and when required support any other duties that may be required to support the manufacturing facility. Be adaptable to all future business requirements. Support GE Beliefs.

+ Follow safety standard. Identify near misses and unsafe conditions, and act and report to immediate mentor, team leader or supervisor.
+ Follow working instructions for specific operations in order to ensure production according to quality standards.
+ Flag process problems to the team leader, and take ownership of quality performance without reliance of the firewall.
+ Organise work to achieve individual objectives while demonstrating commitment to meet team objectives.
+ Demonstrate the importance of meeting costs, time and quality requirements of the job by always striving to achieve them.
+ Follow work instructions for specific operations in order to ensure production according to schedules.
+ Meet the skill set required for specific operations as per company standard.
+ Identify any potential job delays that will cause deviation to the standard process, and act and report to immediate mentor, team leader or supervisor.
+ Maintain a tidy area, put tools in their proper place, keep working areas free from hazards.
+ Seek to understand received job information, and make improvements.
+ Help to meeting requirements of standard cycle time and man hours.
+ Conduct daily 5S inspections as required.
+ Support Kaizen workshops and continuous improvement activities as required.
