Carbon60 is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their clients dedicated team and contribute to the success of their aircraft assembly operations. Our client is a large aircraft manufacturer based in Broughton.
This role plays a crucial role in liaising with engineering and design teams to identify and resolve production-related issues. Your responsibilities will include controlling and maintaining consumable materials and tooling, collaborating with facilities and services to ensure adherence to service level agreements, and supporting safety compliance initiatives.
The ideal Enablement Support Team Member will possess a general knowledge of aircraft assembly tools and techniques, as well as experience in tooling and procedural documentation. You should also demonstrate practical competence in PC-based software and a solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles.

**Job Description**
**Environment / Health / Safety:** Compliance with EHS adherence to safe working operating procedures from the perspective of their own safety and safety of their work colleagues.
**Product on time delivery:** Responsible for the build of the product to the manufacturing plan.
**Product Quality:**
+ Responsible for the build quality of the product in line with the standard operating instructions.
+ May be required to assist in the training of others.
**Product cost:** Responsible for the efficient manufacture of the product in line with defined process.
**Continuous Improvement:**
+ Implement where instructed, process improvement actions that will result in sustainable productivity improvements without impairing product quality or delivery performance or safety.
+ Make proposals that you feel will deliver improvements and savings in line with GE processes and policies using the Employee Ideas Scheme.
**Maintenance:**
+ Working to APS practices follow routine maintenance schedules and cleaning plans for workstations, jigs and fixtures.
+ Highlight any issues to the Production Support Engineer/Coordinator.
+ As and when required, support any other duties that may be required to support the manufacturing facility.
+ Be adaptable to all future business requirements.
**Qualifications/Requirements:**
+ Good general standard of education with confirmed educational qualifications
+ Significant experience in the light mechanical assembly environment or similar. Electrical/electronic qualifications may be an advantage.

* Degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering (or equivalent).
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, PCBAs, coatings, welding, NDT, or composites.
* Confident interpreting technical drawings, GD&T, and engineering specifications.
* Skilled in supplier relationship management and effective at influencing stakeholders at all levels.
* Comfortable working with ERP/MRP systems and engineering documentation.
* Must be eligible to obtain relevant UK security clearance.
