About the Role

RGH-Global is seeking a Junior Quality Control Admin Assistant to support a busy Quality Control department. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, organised, and motivated, with strong communication and IT skills. Understanding the Quality Control Department

The Quality Control department plays a vital role in ensuring product and process integrity. It focuses on five key areas:

• Identification of risks
• Prevention through controls

Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in supporting day-to-day production operations, including machine programming, process validation, and technical support to the manufacturing team. This position will focus on driving process improvements, enhancing manufacturing efficiency, and maintaining high standards of product quality through continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess new and existing technologies to develop and optimise manufacturing plans.

• Maintain equipment functionality by performing basic maintenance and coordinating external servicing for major repairs.

• Oversee maintenance records and troubleshoot production issues to minimise downtime.

• Establish, implement, and sustain manufacturing processes for new products across their full life cycle.

• Evaluate equipment and production methods with the goal of improving performance, efficiency, and reliability.

• Create and validate automated machine programs.

• Develop detailed process documentation and train production staff on updated procedures.

• Provide advanced technical support to production teams to resolve complex issues.

• Collaborate with Quality teams to analyse performance data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.

• Use structured problem-solving techniques (e.g. root cause analysis) to address assembly and process issues.

• Create and manage all manufacturing documentation in accordance with internal standards.

• Perform additional related duties as required to support manufacturing operations.

The Candidate

Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a related Engineering discipline (BEng preferred).

Strong understanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and assembly documentation.

Experience using ERP/MRP systems in a production environment.

Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and departments.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple projects effectively.

Familiarity with project management methodologies is advantageous.

Salary: From £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Manufacturing Process Engineer (NPI Projects)

London (Greenwich) | Up to circa £42 to 47.50 per hour (Umbrella) | Long-Term Contract

• Willingness to learn systems such as SAP and sDMS

Trainee Stitching Machine Operator Pointe Shoe Manufacturing

Freed of London are a leading dancewear company. Our shoes have been worn by the greatest dancers since the 1920's and are still worn by leading dancers, companies and schools worldwide.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, committed and hard-working Trainee Stitching Machine Operator for our ballet shoe manufacturing department in our London factory, based in Hackney.

Experience of working in a shoe manufacturing environment is preferred although full training will be given to the right candidate.

Duties will include;

• Stitching ballet shoes (this involves stitching satin and canvas uppers to a leather sole) using a K welted stitching machine
• Adjusting and setting the machine when required
• Performing other general duties in ballet departments

This role requires good hand to eye co-ordination and attention to detail. Candidates should have a 'can do' attitude and be prepared to work as part of a team.
