A well-established engineering and defence manufacturing business is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Supervisor to lead a high-performing production team at their site in Stockport.
This permanent position offers the opportunity to play a key role in delivering quality products on time and to cost, while championing a culture of continuous improvement. The successful candidate will lead by example, ensuring that health, safety, quality, and delivery standards are consistently met across the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet schedule, quality, and cost targets li>Drive continuous improvement across production processes and team performance
- Lead safety, health, and environmental (SHE) activities in line with company policy
- Manage resource planning, shift cover, and cross-functional redeployment as required
- Conduct daily team briefings and maintain local KPI boards (SQCDP)

Key Requirements:

- Familiarity with aerospace, automotive, or precision engineering sectors
- Excellent communication, organisational, and structured problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of SAP and MRP systems (desirable)
- IOSH or NEBOSH certification (desirable)
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
