We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician to join our client based in Ely. You will be assembling, upgrading and testing components of cutting-edge equipment and should have a range of skills from electronics, test and measurement through to precision mechanical assembly.
Responsibilities
* Assemble and test electro-mechanical subsystems
* Follow manufacturing and testing instructions
* Assist with debugging, documentation and support across manufacturing unit
Requirements
* Practical experience in high-tech assembly / test-ideally in regulated industries
* A can-do attitude for a variety of tasks including, goods-in inspection, stock control and manufacture
* Skilled in using hand tools and test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes)
* Cable assembly skills (use of crimp tools, wire cutters and associated hand tools)
* Experience using test/measurement equipment such as bench power supplies, multi-meters and oscilloscopes
* The ability to keep accurate records, in line with cGMP
* Relevant NVQ / BTEC qualification, and at least 5 GCSEs at grade C / 4 or above
* Good written English and a proficient user of Microsoft Office suite tools, including Excel spreadsheets

Are seeking a number of fulltime ongoing temporary to permanent Manufacturing Operator`s on their rotating day/late shift, ideally from a previous manufacturing background.
To be responsible for general production & Manufacturing duties within our clients busy non food manufacturing area, including working around the Production Machines in a safe manner and in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensuring that the machines are continually operating correctly and achieving optimum performance in terms of quality and output.
Tasks and Activities
1) Manual role involving Packing products, Labelling, and Palletising of product in line with the SOPs relating to specific lines and products.
2) Carrying out quality checks; involving hourly inspection of the product, quarantining and back checking components and completing associated documentation. Where there poor quality is found; restarting production to the correct standards.
3) Running machinery and attending to remedial line stoppages, minimising downtime throughout the shift.
4) Safely starting and stopping auxiliary assembly equipment when required.
5) Collecting materials and continually fill the hoppers throughout the shift as required.
6) Emptying waste bins and recycling and weighing scrap.
7) General housekeeping activities and ensuring the work area is kept clean and tidy.
8) Any other responsible duties as required by the Team Leader that falls within the scope of this role and the department.

Your responsibilities…
· With support from experienced engineers, design and improve mechanical mechanisms for precision motion control and vibration isolation systems
· Demonstrate some knowledge of concept, design, development and testing of theoretical designs following concurrent engineering approach
· Produce detailed specifications of the product from data analysis gathered from testing
· Brainstorm, discuss and review technical challenges with team members, sub-contractors, suppliers and manufacturing departments to find root cause and resolution to the problems
· Demonstrate some knowledge of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) in component and assembly designs
· With support from experienced engineers, ensure Design for Compliance is implemented in the design
