Our well established client based in Bradford near Wyke, BD12 are looking to recruit a manufacturing machine operatorfor a temporary toPERMANENT contract placement.
THE ROLE:
- Assisting machine operatives with smooth running of the production lines
- Palletising at the end of the line using an automated palletiser
- Checking goods on the pallet trays ensuring quality
- Progressing further through the production process
- Working an a team, in a large production/manufacturing environment
- Adhering to strict health and safety guidelines
- Completing production paperwork where necessary
THE CANDIDATE:
- Ideally you will have production line or machine operating experience
- Must have a good attitude towards work, and ensure efficiency in your work
- Must have good timekeeping and attendance - the ability to show up to work is crucial
- Must be confident checking off and completing basic paperwork/reading paperwork
- Good communication skills are required for this role
- MUST be able to travel to WYKE for 06:00 (MORNING) and work 12 hour shifts
THE SALARY AND BENEFITS:
- 12.21 on Days and 13.43 on Nights

- Permanent contract after successful probationary period

The Manufacturing Director will lead all aspects of production and operations at the company's laser cutting facility at our Sheffield site. The postholder will develop and implement strategies to optimise throughput, maintain competitive cost structures, and foster continuous improvement across all manufacturing functions.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead site operations across production, maintenance, and site infrastructure.
- Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Regulatory standards applicable to industry.
- Drive operational efficiency through continuous improvement and Kpi's
- Knowledge of laser cutting technology, or similar advanced manufacturing processes.
- Deliver production output in line with budget, customer schedules, and strict quality standards.
- Lead and coach a high-performing team of senior managers and department heads.
- Maintain strong controls over labour, materials & costs.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing, throughout all departments.
- Represent the site in executive and customer-facing meetings as a trusted leader and decision-maker.
Skills and Experience required:
- Proven experience in a senior manufacturing leadership role within laser cutting, fabrication or precision engineering.
- Solid understanding of fabrication, sheet metal, and downstream finishing operations.
- Demonstrable success in implementing lean manufacturing, waste reduction, and productivity improvement.
- Experience working with regulated quality management systems.
- Strong commercial awareness with ability to manage budgets and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and change management skills.
