Our client based in Littlehampton, West Sussex, are searching for a driven Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their dynamic manufacturing team. As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll support the transition of products from New Product Introduction (NPI) to full-scale production.You’ll also lead and support key improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance across the manufacturing operation.
Responsibilities as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Littlehampton.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing methods, tools, and processes for efficient production.
- Lead continuous improvement and capital investment projects across manufacturing.
- Act as a technical liaison between Advanced Engineering and Production teams.
- Develop and implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategies for encapsulation equipment.
- Drive process validation activities including simulation, experimentation, and documentation.
- Recommend and introduce new equipment, tools, and line-balancing improvements.
- Collaborate across departments including Design, Test, Documentation, and Purchasing to solve manufacturing challenges.
Requirements as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Littlehampton.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- 5+ years in a Manufacturing or Production Engineering role supporting operational functions.
- Strong background in continuous improvement and world-class manufacturing techniques (e.g., TAKT time, Lean, Kanban, process flow mapping).

The role will be to support various processes in line with their Southampton site Manufacturing Process Instructions, ensuring all products are delivered to their customers in line with their quality procedures.
The role:
- Work in line with business processes and procedures, SAP, and local Inspection standard Operating processes
- Accurately perform the required Manufacturing Processes in line with the site Quality Procedures
- Control and Process all relevant Manufacturing & Quality documentation
- Support inventory checks.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and batch traceability

What we are looking for:

As Prototype Engineer you will support the design department to create prototype products fit for serial production. You will ideally have an understanding of engineering principles and able to apply your practical skills to create prototype jigs, fixtures and manufacturing tooling as designed by the Project Engineers.
You will be involved in;
- Prototyping Jig manufacture and CMM measurement
- Manual machining of tooling / fixtures as required by the design team
- Apply pipe bender changes as required by production (training will be provided)
- Prototype production of new designs and provision of feedback to the design team
