This leading Automotive company are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their global business. This is a hands on role, where you will be working in a fast paced environment for a 1st Tier Supplier.
Your job will be to technically support manufacturing areas, including layout, procurement of equipment, production planning, new product introduction (NPI) and systems/ procedures, and training of Operators in accordance with Quality procedures and safe practices. As well as taking responsibility for the implementation of new processes and equipment across the plant.
Role Description:
- Competent with PC word processing skills (INC. Office, MS Project, PowerPoint, Word etc.)
- To develop modern production engineering techniques within the framework of project teams and central standards, including advanced product quality planning activities.
- To ensure all documentation (process flows, PFMEA, work instructions, TPM, routings, asset registers, Yamazumi and setting sheets etc.) are accurate and completed in a timely manner & Support auditing.
- Must be responsible for process control. Only ME can release process changes signed off by all departments etc.
- Support all 8D's, QRQC, internal and external, and use Ishikawa and 5 Why analysis in assisting to find the route cause of a problem effecting production efficiency.
- Improve and optimise the process to reduce costs of manufacturing, increase yield, improve product quality and manufacturing consistency, supporting the WPS team using LEAN tools to continuously improving the processes.
