The OpportunityWe are looking for a Maritime Engineer to join our UK Maritime Team, working on local and international projects. You will assist in delivering a variety of maritime and port projects, including feasibility studies, port master planning, technical due diligence, and design from conceptual to detailed stages. You will collaborate with colleagues to provide responsive service to clients, develop digital tools for project delivery, and may contribute to fee proposals for various opportunities.
This role requires a willingness to learn and grow in this expanding field. Typical clients include port owners/operators, offshore wind developers, contractors, investors, and public sector bodies. Our projects are varied and aim to make a positive impact globally.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting delivery of maritime and port projects, including design and advisory roles.
- Assisting in project management of multidisciplinary teams to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Delivering civil/maritime engineering designs, calculations, models, reports, and drawings.
- Representing the maritime team in internal and external forums.
- Sharing knowledge and supporting innovation and internal training.
You should hold a BEng, MEng, or MSc in Civil Engineering or a related field, and ideally be working towards Chartered Engineer status.
We seek candidates with:
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset.
- Ability to plan and multitask effectively.
- Experience in port facility design using Eurocodes, PIANC, or relevant standards.
- Onsite construction experience in maritime or port infrastructure.
- Project management experience for small to medium port projects.
- Good understanding of port operations and infrastructure requirements for various cargo types and offshore wind.

AECOMu2019s Ports and Maritime team in Plymouth are looking for a Senior Maritime Engineer with civil and structural knowledge and a technical focus to play a major role on multiple projects.
The candidate will be a team player, self-motivated, support fellow team members and manage inputs whilst meeting client requirements to agreed costs and quality. Working with an established Ports and Maritime team with over 100 years of shared experience we require someone to compliment that and will be responsible for technical delivery of a wide range of projects. Key clients include local authority, private companies, defence contractors and internal clients both in the UK and overseas.
**Job Duties:**
Responsible for the planning, preparation and successful completion of deliverables.
Have significant experience and knowledge of presenting calculations to a high standard of quality and able to utilise current computer software (including but not limited to ROBOT, GRLWEAP, WALLAP, TEDDS, PLAXIS 3D and others);
Have experience of checking and reviewing technical specifications, reports and technical notes to a high standard.
Review and comment on design, drawings and specification to ensure timely and accurate results.
Mentoring of staff to achieve technical solution and provide support to develop their knowledge and experience.
Communicate and liaise with other disciplines and clients to ensure clear understanding of scope and deliverables;
Assist in the preparation of tenders (programme, cost estimate, resourcing, preparation of written quality/technical input, etc).
Designing structures in the Marine Environment (including quay wall, piers, jetties, revetment, breakwaters, fendering, scour protection, linkspan supports, dolphins, etc);
Experience in the construction supervision of maritime structures.
Good understanding of, British Standards, Eurocodes and best practice in the maritime environment.
Good understanding of CDM, Safety in design and CEMD.
Experience in delivering projects over a range of cost and complexity.
Working in multi-disciplinary teams

**Job Description**
AECOMu2019s Ports and Maritime team in Bristol are looking for a Senior Maritime Engineer with civil and structural knowledge and a technical focus to play a major role on multiple projects.
The candidate will be a team player, self-motivated, support fellow team members and manage inputs whilst meeting client requirements to agreed costs and quality. Working with an established Ports and Maritime team with over 100 years of shared experience we require someone to compliment that and will be responsible for technical delivery of a wide range of projects. Key clients include local authority, private companies, defence contractors and internal clients both in the UK and overseas.
**Job Duties:**
Responsible for the planning, preparation and successful completion of deliverables.
Have significant experience and knowledge of presenting calculations to a high standard of quality and able to utilise current computer software (including but not limited to ROBOT, GRLWEAP, WALLAP, TEDDS, PLAXIS 3D and others);
Have experience of checking and reviewing technical specifications, reports and technical notes to a high standard.
Review and comment on design, drawings and specification to ensure timely and accurate results.
Mentoring of staff to achieve technical solution and provide support to develop their knowledge and experience.
Communicate and liaise with other disciplines and clients to ensure clear understanding of scope and deliverables;
Assist in the preparation of tenders (programme, cost estimate, resourcing, preparation of written quality/technical input, etc).
Designing structures in the Marine Environment (including quay wall, piers, jetties, revetment, breakwaters, fendering, scour protection, linkspan supports, dolphins, etc);
Experience in the construction supervision of maritime structures.
Good understanding of, British Standards, Eurocodes and best practice in the maritime environment.
Good understanding of CDM, Safety in design and CEMD.
Experience in delivering projects over a range of cost and complexity.
Working in multi-disciplinary teams
Experience in the UK Maritime industry

**Qualifications**
MEng or BEng qualified in civil or structural engineering
Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer u2013 or anticipating achieving this status imminently
Be able to obtain SC security clearance
