Join us on an exhilarating journey as a Product Manager for NEC Housing, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering cutting-edge products for the Social Housing sector. We are investing over £8m per annum in our market-leading award-winning solutions that support our customers to deliver better services, more effectively.
We're particularly looking for candidates with experience of designing and delivering mobile app solutions to support repairs, property surveys, servicing, inspections and housing management. This is a critical part of our growing portfolio and increasing market take-up means that we need to expand our team in this area.
You'll be part of a dynamic team focused on exceeding customer expectations, maximising intellectual property, and revolutionising the sector!
From market assessment through to requirements decomposition, support of build and final test verification, you'll be focused on ensuring that the NEC Housing and Go-Mobile platform supports our customers meet the challenges they face.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out market research to understand legislative, regulatory, competitive, economic landscape, as well as changing market drivers for your business process areas.
- Be part of the team with expertise in mobile working, with the ability to deal with queries from customers and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with customers through co-design workshops, User Group sessions and customer meetings to fully understand what’s happening in the sector and how this influences customer requirements.
- Define customer business needs and objectives to ensure that NEC Housing products and solutions meet or exceed customer/market expectations.
- Define requirements, user stories and wireframes for new product developments and work closely with the development and QA teams to ensure the delivery of solutions that achieve customer outcomes.
- Work with Technical Authors to produce / review product documentation.
- Build business cases to define market uptake, pricing and margin analysis.
- Identify any 3rd party requirements to complete the user requirements. Liaise and manage requirements with 3rd party suppliers, systems integrators or other organisations as required.
- Define the roadmap for your product area(s).
- Assist the Pre-Sales/Sales team with the production, review and management of bid responses, sales proposals and quotations, as required.
- Produce and deliver presentations for both customer and internal audiences.
- Support product launch activities.

Qualifications
Essential:
- Experience in UK Social Housing, either as a customer or software solution provider.
- Experience of NEC Housing and Go-Mobile platforms in the social housing sector
- Strong knowledge of project life-cycle, methodologies, and delivering projects on time and budget.
- Experience in defining product enhancements, UI/UX design, and Agile new product development.
- Experience with housing management systems or related software.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Desirable:
- Technical understanding of relational databases and SQL would be beneficial.
- Proven ability to build relationships and understand client perspectives.
- Effective time management and resource allocation.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Full, valid UK/EC driving license for travel.
- Experience in end-to-end product life cycle management.
- Experience of designing digital solutions for the social housing sector, including mobile apps and web platforms.
- Proficiency in tools like Figma, JIRA.

- Data Analysis & Issue Resolution: Analyze project metrics, resolve design issues, and prevent delays by addressing dependencies and bottlenecks.
- Process & Digital Transformation: Identify and implement improvements, utilizing digital tools to enhance productivity and streamline design workflows.
- Project Delivery & Cost Management: Guide suppliers to meet milestones, evaluate cost-effectiveness, and approve budget-aligned designs.
Requirements:
Essential: Minimum 3 years in telecoms site design or project management, strong MS Office skills, CDM Regulations knowledge, and proven project management experience.
Reviewing site designs and signing them off
Preferred:
Broad understanding of passive and active design disciplines, project management certification (Prince II, Agile), and familiarity with tools like Power BI, Site Tracker, and SharePoint.
