Duties and Responsibilities for the Van Driver:

• Make safe delivery and collection of goods.
• Deliveries and collections in and around your hub location.
• Short & long-distance driving as and when required.
• Deliveries & collections to sites.
• Complete a daily van maintenance check.
• Adhere to all driving regulations.
• Represent the company in a professional manner.

Skills and Qualifications for the Van Driver:

Role:  Delivery Service Partner/Delivery Driver - Multi Drop - Self-Employed

Start: ASAP

Shift: Monday to Friday (Rota Saturday)

Contract Term:  Indefinite

Earnings: £135 day rate + FREE VAN

Note: Only experienced couriers with a minimum of 6-months multi drop parcel experienced will be considered for this role.

As a delivery driver, you will utilise the van provided to you, along with handheld device, to efficiently deliver and collect parcels. Daily, you'll maintain clear communication with both depot management and customers, providing updates on the progress of deliveries.

Using an optimised planned route, you'll load, inspect, secure, and deliver parcels, ensuring a seamless and prompt, reliable delivery experience to customers.

Our vans come fully insured for working with us and personal use, including breakdown cover. Yes, you can take the van home at the end of your delivery and use it for personal use.

Drivers will be required to return to the Cambuslang Depot for a debrief after completion of deliveries.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6-months multi-drop parcel deliver experience.
• Valid UK, European, or International Manual license, 12+ months UK driving, max 6 penalty points.
• Note that for our vans, we will not accept any of the following endorsements: TT, CD, DR, DG, AC, BA, MS.
• Must be entitled to live and work in the UK.
• International students who can't work self-employed are unfortunately ineligible.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and a positive, hard-working attitude.

As a Cover Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of parcels and packages to our customers. Your responsibilities will primarily involve providing coverage for regular delivery drivers during times of increased workload, absences, sickness, or other unforeseen circumstances. You will be expected to step in and fulfil delivery routes as needed to maintain service standards and customer satisfaction

Responsibilities

• Cover delivery routes for regular drivers during peak periods, absences, sickness, or other unexpected events.
• Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and minimize delays
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures, receipts, and any incidents or issues encountered during delivery

Requirements

• You can use your own van with no charges
• For using our vans, a full UK/EU/International Manual Driving Licence is required with no more than 6 points (No convictions for AC, BA, CD, DD, IN, DG, DR, MR, MS, TT, UT)
• Able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK as we do not provide foreign sponsorship
• Possess an Android or iPhone for using our delivery app.
• Demonstrate a good knowledge of the local area in which you are applying
• Be capable and comfortable driving a van of transit size
• Has a positive attitude, consistently reliable, and maintains professionalism
• Punctual and dependable are crucial attributes as they are essential for meeting delivery schedules.
• Availability and flexibility to provide a minimum of 6 days per week service
