Title: Contracts Manager

Grade: 12

Location: London, UK

Position Summary:

The Contracts Manager, part of the NCR Voyix Law Department, is responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing sales contracts supporting NCR Voyix’s business objectives. This role focuses on software licensing, cloud services, subscription services, and maintenance/support contracts within the retail and hospitality sectors. The Contracts Manager develops negotiation strategies, conducts negotiations with customers, assesses risk exposure, and advises senior management and business clients. Collaboration with internal teams such as Pricing, Global Sales, and Finance is essential to minimize margin erosion and ensure policy compliance. The role requires the ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple demands effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Meet with internal clients to understand business objectives and assess risks of sales transactions.
  2. Lead negotiations with customer’s senior management, attorneys, and contract professionals.
  3. Act as the primary contact during customer negotiations.
  4. Review, edit, and draft responses to customer proposed terms and conditions.
  5. Advise on contractual risks and provide recommendations to mitigate legal and business exposure.
  6. Identify risks, facilitate internal reviews, and seek management or legal resolutions.
  7. Exercise sound judgment on when to involve other parts of the business or legal team.
  8. Collaborate with bid support, pricing, and other teams to protect margins and manage risks before contract signing.
  9. Provide post-contract support on interpretation, disputes, and revenue recognition issues.
  10. Maintain knowledge of NCR Voyix policies, commercial laws, and industry practices; understand NCR Voyix’s solutions and financial analysis.
  11. Educate internal teams on contracting best practices and relevant topics.
Basic Qualifications:
  1. At least 8 years of commercial contracting experience, preferably in retail or hospitality.
  2. Availability for outside normal hours and occasional travel.
  3. Strong conceptual and innovative thinking skills; ability to articulate complex legal and technical ideas.
  4. Deep knowledge of NCR Voyix policies, solutions, and relevant laws.
  5. Excellent negotiation, communication, and writing skills.
  6. Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
  7. Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
  8. Ability to identify legal issues and escalate appropriately.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Master’s degree in Business Administration or similar.
  2. Over 5 years of experience with sales and services contracts in retail/hospitality, especially cloud and software licensing.
  3. Proven negotiation leadership and conflict resolution skills.
  4. Experience coordinating efforts across multiple internal and external teams.
