My client is a modern managed services provider delivering integrated IT and communications solutions and is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join their team.
The Network Engineer will be responsible for implementing, and managing network infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in networking technologies, excellent leadership abilities, and a proven track record of successfully leading network projects.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain our organization's computer network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
- Evaluate and recommend network technologies and solutions to improve performance, reliability, and security.
- Work within a team of network engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to internal and external customers as needed.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to ensure seamless integration of network systems with other technologies and applications.

- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues, identifying and resolving problems promptly for our Managed Service Clients.

- Stay up-to-date on emerging network technologies and industry trends, and make recommendations for their adoption as appropriate.
- 5+ years of experience in implementing, and managing enterprise-level computer networks.
- Strong skills in LAN and Wifi preferred
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, SD Wan routing, and switching.
- Hands-on experience with network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points from leading vendors (HP, Alcatel, Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, etc.).
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a methodical approach to resolving complex network issues.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark).
