Role: Patient Care- Sales Advisor

Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week

Location: Glasgow, fully on-site

Salary: £33,000 OTE

We are actively recruiting for experienced Patient Care – Sales Advisors to join our team within our Contact Centre in the City Centre of Glasgow.

Each day will vary however the core components of your role will include:

• Engage with patients who have attended a surgery consultation, discussing the life-changing benefits of vision correction surgery.
• Provide clear and supportive guidance, addressing patient concerns and overcoming objections.
• Manage your own diary, scheduling follow-up calls with patients and ensuring that all appointments are booked correctly.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism, empathy, and care while building trust with patients.
• Ensure that all patient information is accurately recorded and that patient queries are handled in a timely manner.
• Work closely with the medical and administrative teams to ensure a smooth patient experience from initial consultation to post-surgery follow-up.

Essential skills

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with patients.
• Achieve and exceed performance targets related to patient conversion rates, appointment scheduling, and follow-up success.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including conversion rates and patient satisfaction, ensuring that goals are consistently met.
• A proactive and empathetic approach to customer service.

• Provide comprehensive, high-quality nursing care to children with a range of medical conditions, from infancy to adolescence.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans in partnership with children, their families, and other healthcare professionals.

• Registered Nurse (Child) qualification with valid NMC registration.
• Proven experience in pediatric nursing, ideally within a hospital setting.
• Strong understanding of child development and pediatric conditions.
• Excellent clinical skills, including assessment, intervention, and evaluation.
• Proficiency in administering medications and carrying out nursing procedures.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a demanding workload.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Sound understanding of safeguarding children procedures.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as per ward rota.

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill children and infants requiring intensive monitoring and intervention.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to patient safety protocols.
• Operate and manage advanced life support equipment, including ventilators, infusion pumps, and monitoring devices.
• Assess patient conditions, recognising subtle changes and responding promptly and effectively to deteriorating situations.
• Collaborate closely with medical teams, including paediatric intensivists, surgeons, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists, to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, fostering a supportive and therapeutic environment.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, documenting all care interventions, observations, and outcomes.
• Participate in ward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings, and case conferences.
• Promote and adhere to infection control policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment.

• Registered Nurse (Child Branch) with current NMC registration.
• Significant post-registration experience, with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a paediatric critical care setting (PICU or equivalent).
• Post-registration qualification in Critical Care Nursing (e.g., ENB 415, Critical Care Modules, BSc Critical Care) or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• Proven ability to manage complex paediatric critical care cases.
• Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
• Commitment to family-centred care and patient advocacy.
• Experience with mechanical ventilation and haemodynamic monitoring.
• Knowledge of relevant clinical guidelines and best practices in paediatric critical care.
