The Product Engineering Manager will have full ownership for the production cost and production quality of a range of full custom ASIC products covering a range of market segments, including wireless and automotive.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Review of customers and supplier specifications to ensure that customer's needs will be met by the specified products.
- Plan and execute qualification and reliability programs for a range of new products to recognized industry standards such as Jedec, AECQ or relevant Aerospace standards.
- Develop and document any required processes or procedures necessary to qualify and release products on schedule.
- Be familiar with all of the Semiconductor NPI methodologies requirements such as PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA etc.
- Develop Product Yield Enhancement & Quality improvement methods as products ramp to production.
- Interface with suppliers to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure the smooth transition of products from early stage sampling to high volume production on time and within the quality and cost expectations of the company.
- Interface with all relevant departments from R&D through sales and marketing to ensure product offering meet time and cost deadlines.
Face to face interactions with both customers and suppliers on the topics of pricing/margin and quality.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this role leads a high-performing team of Software Engineers, Tech Leads, and Principal Engineers, working with technologies including Java, AWS, Kafka, SQL Databases, Swift, Kotlin, and React. The Engineering Manager works in close partnership with the GeoLocs Product Manager, fellow Engineering Managers, QA Lead, and Client Delivery Leads.
The Product Engineering Manager leads the delivery of mkodo’s GeoLocs product line, ensuring the design, development, and operation of SDKs, APIs, and services that provide regulated geolocation capabilities for clients across multiple markets. They own the technical execution of the GeoLocs roadmap in partnership with the Product Manager, balancing speed, quality, and product impact to deliver measurable value to mkodo and its clients.
This role will form part of a pair of Engineering Managers jointly responsible for the successful delivery of GeoLocs development and features. The two Engineering Managers will work closely together to provide leadership, alignment, and strategic direction across the GeoLocs area, while each will directly manage one of the teams within the GeoLocs structure. This model ensures strong cross-team collaboration and shared ownership of delivery outcomes.
A central accountability of this role is to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget, without compromising on quality or compliance. To achieve this, the Product Engineering Manager works closely with engineers to produce accurate effort estimations. **QUALIFICATIONS**

+ We are looking for a wide range of applicants studying towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree from across all Engineering & STEM related subjects
+ Excellent computing skills; Experience with Microsoft Office desirable.
+ An understanding of how a diesel engine works and a basic knowledge of how an aftertreatment system works.
+ Good team working, communication and task prioritization.
+ Enthusiasm and interest in Engineering is required

We are looking for an enthusiastic **Current Product** **Placement Student** to join our team for 12 months, specializing in Engineering for our CES (Cummins Emissions Solutions) business segment in Darlington. During your placement, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to launch your career in the industry and **power your potential** !
Working under the guidance of the Technical Specialist, the student will be involved in all aspects of the current product engineering group, assisting to provide technical support for Cummins Emission Solutions technology, throughout Europe.
This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence Summer of 2026.

Where You'll Work & The Scope:
Vishay Siliconix, a leader in the development of power semiconductor products which improves efficiency in electronic systems for consumer, industrial, automotive, medical, and military applications, is currently seeking a Senior Manager/ Director of Product Engineering.
Location:
This position will be located in Newport, South Wales, U.K.
You will work together with a talented staff of engineering professionals to support the development and enablement of innovative wide bandgap semiconductor technology to realize the next generations of Vishay’s proprietary power device product portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the product engineering team and collaborate with marketing, product development and Operation teams through all facets of New Product development and introduction goals on the Silicon Carbide product line
- Collaborate with reliability / quality teams for product quality improvement programs
- Partner with operation teams in yield improvement and cost down initiatives
- Define and drive novel test and defect management concepts to support zero defect quality improvement programs
- Develop and drive automation concepts for efficient New Product Introduction processes to meet Corporate Time to Market objectives
Knowledge and Experience You'll Need:
- A PhD or Master’s degree in semiconductor device/material physics or related fields.
- At least 10 years of experience in the field of power semiconductors.
- Detailed knowledge of semiconductor product life cycle, device characterization, device qualification, pre-production support, release to volume production and product sustenance.
- Strong data analytical skills in the evaluation and characterization of power semiconductors
- Experience working with SiC or other Wide-bandgap semiconductor devices is a MUST.
- Silicon MOSFET knowledge would also be advantageous
- Yield analysis and device debug problem solving experience with 6-sigma quality practices is a plus.
- Experience in New Product Introduction of Automotive Power products to AEC-Q101 standards
You will have a comprehensive, demonstrable background in power semiconductor materials / semiconductor device physics, and / fabrication process. You will approach tasks in a logic-based way, along with having the ability and motivation to develop novel and creative ideas.Your communication skills will enable seamless collaboration both with our manufacturing partners and internally, and you will know how to build and maintain lasting relationships in international and cross-functional project teams.
