Job Title: Legionella Plumber
Location: Luton, Bedfordshire
Salary/Benefits: 25k - 37k + Training & Benefits

Our client is a growing Water Hygiene / Legionella outfit, with client contracts in the South Eastern region. They are seeking a Legionella Plumber to service new commercial and public sector contracts. The role will involve reading and interpreting legionella risk assessments, so it is essential that applicants have strong technical knowledge in order to competently identify required works. They are offering excellent scope for further training within the role, and are paying competitively on salaries.

Locations of work include: Luton, Hitchin, St Albans, Leighton Buzzard, Bletchley, Aylesbury, Watford, Enfield, Welwyn Garden City, Bishop's Stortford, Biggleswade, Harrow, Wembley, Slough, Southall, Ilford, Romford, Billericay, Braintree, Dunstable, Bracknell, Potters Bar, High Wycombe, Maidenhead, Epping, Harlow.

Experience / Qualifications:
- Successful track record working as a Legionella Plumber
- Will have worked within a well-established Legionella / Water Hygiene company
- Must hold plumbing qualifications, such as: NVQ (level 1, 2 and / or 3)
- Ideally will hold the G3 Unvented ticket
- Can demonstrate knowledge of ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines
- Good literacy and IT skills

The Role:
- Deadleg removals
- CWST inspections, refurbishments and replacements
- TMV servicing and replacements
- Chlorinations
- Calorifier inspections
- Showerhead descales
- Pipework modifications
- Water sampling
- Temperature monitoring
- Undertaking both PPM and reactive works

We are seeking to recruit a Skills Coach for Plumbing, Heating and Building Services Engineering who will act as the main point of contact for apprentices, providing information, advice and guidance, monitoring progress against apprenticeship standards and maintaining strong relationships with employers to ensure apprentices develop the knowledge, skills and professional behaviours (KSBs) they need to carry out their job role successfully.

The Skills Coach will provide teaching and assessment to apprentices and learners working towards individual qualifications and apprenticeship standards across various environments, including college and the workplace. They will manage a caseload efficiently to ensure timely completion of all qualifications, through scheduled block and day-release sessions at college and carry assessment visits at the apprentice’s place of work

The Skills Coach is responsible for completing tripartite progress reviews with apprentices and employers and all scheduled tasks and milestones as detailed on the apprenticeship training plan.

Applicants should have knowledge of apprenticeships and local/national skills need, knowledge of end point assessment and awarding, experience in coaching or assessing apprentices, a Level 3 Plumbing qualification, ACS Gas qualification (or be willing to work towards one) and a teaching qualification (or willingness to obtain).
