Pay Rates: Up to £12.21 per hour depending on age
Join our One Great Team here at Haven as a Pool Attendant and help us make our pool area the ultimate destination for fun and relaxation!
As a Pool Attendant, you’ll be at the heart of the action, making sure every guest has an unforgettable experience! You’ll keep the pool area sparkling clean and inviting, assist guests with anything they need to make the most of their visit. Working alongside our lifeguards, you’ll help create a safe, and fun-filled swimming experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests, answer questions, and assist with any needs to enhance their pool experience.
- Ensure poolside areas, changing rooms, and lounge areas are clean, safe, and organised.
- Set up and take down pool equipment, and lend a hand with pool events, activities, or group sessions as needed.
- Monitor pool area to ensure guests follow facility rules and safety regulations.
- Support lifeguards by observing pool activity and alerting them to any potential safety concerns.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a pool or leisure environment as a Pool Attendant or Lifeguard is beneficial, but not essential.
- Basic knowledge of pool safety practices are a plus; if not, don’t worry, we provide training.
- Ability to remain alert and attentive in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly and approachable attitude with good communication skills.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
This opportunity requires the new candidate to undergo, and satisfactorily complete, an Enhanced DBS check prior to starting work.

We are looking for Attendants to help cover the Paddling Pools over the summer season. We are looking for someone who can work with minimal supervision to ensure the users of the pools have a safe and enjoyable visit.
You will ensure all the equipment is well maintained and safe to use. Following guidance and instruction you will monitor the water treatment of the pools ensuring any issues are reported. You will be responsible for ensuring all areas around the Paddling Pools including the toilets are kept clean, tidy, and litter free.
In the event that a high volume of suitable applications are received, the post may close prior to the specified closing date. Please apply as soon as possible if interested.
Hours: Casual hours, available over the Summer period.
Requirements
- To supervise and assist the Paddling Pool customers.
- To monitor the paddling pool water treatment system and report any issues with the system
- To keep all areas of the paddling pool clean, tidy and litter free and to ensure the toilet facility is also kept clean and tidy
- To ensure the sand areas are raked daily
- An ability and understanding of how to relate to customers of all ages and abilities and also to all levels of staff
- Well developed interpersonal skills
- A First Aid certificate would be an advantage however training will be provided.
- Demonstrated passion and energy for the leisure industry
- Mobile to travel between the locations.
