Overview:
We now require an additional Manufacturing Engineer to join the team due to expansion. The company have sites across the UK and manufacture components for some well-known names within industry. This role will require an understanding of how components are made out of metal - techniques, such as machining, fabrication and metal manipulation. You will create manufacturing route cards (SOP's and methods to manufacture) to ensure the best methods to manufacture whilst continually looking at improvements.
The ideal candidate/ Manufacturing Engineer may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:
- Previous experience writing SOP's, methods of manufacture
- Knowledge of machining and fabrication of metal components
- Excellent inter-personal and presentation skills
- Ability to read manufacturing drawings and specifications and break out the details and processes required for each operation required for manufacture.
- Previous experience working in a role where streamlining and improving processes is key aspect of the your role.

Overview:
Our Client are looking for a maintenance engineer to join their maintenance team, providing professional and timely support for a range of mechanical equipment and control system maintenance tasks across the Wrexham site.
The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with production to ensure minimum disruption to production in the event of any down time of machinery by quick responses to equipment failures and regular PPM’s as a proactive measure.

Duties:

• Work as a member of the Maintenance team, providing out of normal production hours as and when necessary, to minimise disruption to production.
• Accurately record all assigned work orders.
• Perform any other duties necessary, as instructed by the Maintenance Manager or member of the site management team to carry out the job function and achieve department and Company objectives.
Requirements:
• Possess GCSE grade 5 / C standard or above (or equivalent) in Math’s and English.
• Possess a formal qualification in an Engineering discipline (BTEC or equivalent) preferable or demonstrate significant work experience.
• Demonstrate prior completion of Health & Safety in the Workplace courses advantageous.
• Previous experience of mechanical repair of production equipment. Demonstrate a track record (5 years +) working within a manufacturing environment.
• Basic welding knowledge and working experience are advantageous.
• Experience of maintenance and repair of PLC control systems is advantageous.

- li>Bachelor's or foundation degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field as a time served apprentice.
- Knowledge and experience of using 8D methodology for problem-solving and six sigma methodology.
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and other quality control methods.
- Proven track record of process improvement and reduction in internal failure cost.
- Experience with process design, optimisation and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and principles.
- Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks) and other engineering tools.
