We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with the following experience and qualifications:
- Experience developing comprehensive live event plans including related schematics, work plans and resource needs.
- Has coordinated the ordering and receipt of purchases and rentals from vendors.
- Experience managing the day-to-day operational aspects of projects.
- Able to lead projects in the field.
- Demonstrates a well-rounded background - a focus on lighting and/or video production is preferred.
- Possess the abilities to work in a collaborative environment and to flex with scheduling changes.
- Communicates effectively and professionally with a variety of people, and is comfortable discussing issues as they arise whether they be with team members or clients.
- Is organized with an attention to detail.
- Is able to anticipate and solve problems.
- Recognizes that organization and time management are key in order to create and maintain schedules, meet deadlines, and keep jobs running on schedule in line with our standards.
This position requires evening and weekend work.

Gafoor is a dynamic and rapidly growing family-owned business in Preston. They are a key player in their sector supplying poultry products to leading blue chip manufacturers nationally.
About the Role:
You will be accountable for the processing area of the operation, leading and managing a team of operatives. You will manage, develop, train and lead your team to make sure all daily KPI's are achieved, as well as being highly focused on safety, quality, productivity and efficiency of the department.
The successful candidate will require a flexible approach to their working hours in order to oversee and lead a department working between 5am till midnight on a rotating shift pattern.
The overall focus of the role will be to ensure the smooth running of the processing area of the operation ensuring that production schedules are achieved to fulfil customer orders on time and to the correct specification. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the technical team to ensure all quality standards are maintained and also the engineering team to address matters which have the potential to impact productivity.
Excellent communication skills and team work are a must for this role as well as a flexible and proactive approach to ensure the needs of the business are met.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage Shift Production Operations:
- Oversee the production line activities to ensure efficient and effective operations, achieving daily production schedules.
- Coordinate with other shift supervisors / managers to maintain seamless production flow across shifts.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and motivate production staff, providing guidance and support.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
- Manage shift schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.
Quality Control:
- Working with the Quality team to implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain high product standards.
- Working with the hygiene team to implement control measures and to ensure hygiene standards are maintained.
- Address and resolve any production issues or discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Safety and Compliance:
- Promote a culture of safety within the production team.
- Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions.
- Monitor production metrics and report on performance.
- Support the introduction of new products and changing specifications into the business in line with the customer requirements.
- Liaise and work with the engineering team to ensure routine maintenance is carried out and machinery is looked after to prevent downtime.

- Proven track record in the poultry/meat processing industry
- Proven track record in operational management and leadership
- Knowledge and/or experience of Food Safety Legislation and requirements
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbally
- Analytical, numerically astute, with strong problem-solving abilities
- IT literacy is a must - experience in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is essential
- Familiar working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment is essential.
- Self-motivated, proactive with a flexible and positive approach.

The Role
As Night Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing production operations across the factory during the night shift. You’ll ensure all customer orders are completed accurately and on time, coordinate staff across different lines to maximise productivity, and ensure that all food safety, health & safety, and quality standards are maintained. You’ll work closely with the Production and Engineering teams to resolve issues quickly and keep production running smoothly. It’s a hands-on role where leadership, attention to detail, and adaptability are key.
What We’re Looking For
We're seeking someone with previous supervisory experience in a fast-moving food manufacturing environment. You’ll be confident leading teams, solving problems on the spot, and keeping production targets on track. Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and health & safety regulations is essential, and you'll be the kind of person who leads by example and isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves. Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement will be a real plus.
