Job Title: Production Operative
Location : Ellesmere Port
Hours: Mon-Fri 7am-4pm (on Fridays you will finish at 1.15pm)
Pay: 12.21 per hour, paid weekly
Responsibilities
- Assemble products using electric hand tools
- Work in teams to manufacture products
- End of line packing
- Sortation and organisation of parts
- Follow production schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure specifications are met
- Stack finished products onto pallets
Requirements
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Previous experience using electric hand tools is essential
- Able to work at speed to keep up with machine outputs
- Able to work in a team

My Client are one of the leading manufacturers of precision Wires. They specialise in electrical resistance wiring. Based from their site in Wythenshawe, Manchester, they are looking for Production/Machine operatives to join their team on a temp to perm basis.
Duties associated with this position are as follows:
o Process wire as required on the Works Order card and to the standard required
o Maintain high standards of housekeeping in your work area
o Wear PPE as required by company policy and appropriate to your task
o Complete RALF Forms whenever you identify a hazard or potential hazard. Take action yourself if safe and competent to do so to clear the hazard or potential hazard
o Check machinery over prior to start up ensuring that it is in working order and machine guarding and interlocks are working effectively
o Report any defects in equipment ensuring that safety issues in particular are treated with priority
o Ensure that the feed wire is sufficient and correct to the Job Card and ensure that traceability of all material is achieved
o Set machinery to achieve the standard, test wire at start up to ensure it meets the standard and at required intervals during the running of the process.
o Label each completed reel/drum pack of wire ensuring that it is readily identifiable and full traceability back to the raw material is achieved
There will be some basic data input requirements so computer literacy is important.
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 07.30 to 16.30 and Friday 07:30 to 12:00
12 week temp to perm.
Safety boots required.
This is a production based position and heavy lifting can be part of the day to day duties.
