Who You Are
- Experienced Project Manager from a civil engineering and/or renewables background
- Proactive and solutions-focused — you take initiative without needing to be asked
- Confident working across the full project lifecycle
- Able to lead and manage teams while maintaining strong client rapport
- Organised and commercially savvy, with a track record of delivering on time and within budget
- Comfortable working flexibly, occasionally including weekends or travel
- Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline
- Holding a current PTS card would be a benefit.

Our client is a leading provider of critical engineering services.
Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an Electrical Project Manager to join the infrastructure team based out of offices in Uddingston.
The Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of electrical projects up to 10M throughout the central belt of Scotland.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure all works are managed in accordance with standard operating procedures and Health and Safety regulations.
Ensure all works are competed in line with the contract specification and drawings.
Prepare labour plans and update labour trackers with correct information
Review, verify, appoint, and manage specialist contractors in line with the contract documentation.
Attend regular approval meeting with Client interface.
Work with wider MEP team and site supervisors to ensure the works are on target and to update programs and weekly project reports for the client & sub-contractors.
Manage work from initial co-ordination to completion and final sign off after EoYD.

A Project Manager is required to join a design consultancy working on a 1-year contract, responsible for;
- Managing the development and delivery of HV & EHV projects (cable, overhead, plant and civil) to time, cost, safety and quality
- Developing HV and EHV project initial functional requirement into compliant and cost-effective engineering solutions
- Interfacing and communicating effectively with stakeholders (including customers, internal engineering and industrial teams) to develop and deliver HV & EHV projects
- Undertaking the role of CDM or principal designer for developed HV & EHV projects
- Coordinating external service providers and administer commercial
The successful candidate will;
- Be qualified to a minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Have at least five years of relevant work experience managing large and complex HV and EHV substation projects throughout the full project lifecycle from feasibility to energisation
- Have a strong understanding of electrical transmission and distribution plant items operations, controls and associated systems such as AIS/GIS switchgear, Protection & Control, Power Transformers, Underground power cables and Overhead lines
- Have experience with optioneering (selecting the most suitable substation configurations such as voltage levels, installed and firm capacities as per functional requirements for the project)
- Have experience delivering CAPEX and Customer connection projects at voltages from 33kV to 400kV from project initiation, specification and design, tendering, construction through to project closure
- Have design knowledge of both AIS & GIS substations up to 400kV
- Have engineering standards knowledge for HV and EHV Plant, substations (including earthing and electrical clearances)
- Have an excellent understanding of the H&S and CDM requirements for large scale projects
- Have an ability to undertake the role of 'Designer' and 'Principal Designer' under the CDM regulations
- Be able to interpret technical documentation relating to the design of electrical substations
