Position Overview

The Deployment Operations Project Manager (DOPM) leads the full lifecycle of design, scheduling, and deployment of collaborative video conferencing (VC) and AV systems in new or remodelled client offices. This includes digital signage, event production spaces, demo environments, and more. The DOPM partners closely with Facilities and IT to ensure seamless integration of technology into physical spaces, aligning with construction timelines and standards. This role requires strong project leadership, technical expertise, and cross-functional coordination.


What You’ll Do
  • Lead cross-functional teams and third-party vendors from project planning through post-deployment review.
  • Prioritize tasks for Deployment Coordinators and support Deployment Engineers on non-standard deployments.
  • Oversee design, procurement, deployment, and commissioning of AV/VC systems in office builds.
  • Provide regular project updates via Asana, communicating risks and technical issues proactively.
  • Apply client standards to determine design, bill of materials, and drawings in collaboration with design engineers.
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring adherence to schedules, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Conduct site visits and perform testing and commissioning with vendors.
  • Use AutoCAD for light drafting and markup of design intent.
  • Participate in Bluebeam sessions for design reviews and documentation sign-off.

Skills and Abilities
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and schematics.
  • Experienced in managing AV/VC deployments in enterprise environments.
  • Strong communication skills across platforms (e.g., Workplace Chat, Cisco Webex, email).
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving project-related issues.
  • Budget management and multi-project coordination across regions.
  • Time management with a proactive approach to identifying roadblocks.
  • Understanding of AV system functionality and installation techniques.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (beginner to intermediate) and Bluebeam Revu (intermediate).
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana) and Microsoft Office Suite.

What You Need to Succeed
  • 7+ years of project management experience in a technical field (AV/VC, Networking, IT Construction, etc.).
  • Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) or equivalent.
  • PMP or similar certification (e.g., Prince2) preferred.
  • Strong task management and communication skills with a focus on follow-through.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.

Experience in consultancy environments and knowledge of MOD procurement processes are desirable.

Working as part of the Programme Leadership team, within the Domains delivery unit, successful candidates will be leading the delivery of technology enabled transformation projects of varying size and degrees of complexity in any sector.   These projects will comprise of different elements such as the delivery/implementation of package-based products (e.g. SAP, Salesforce and others), Cloud migrations/ transformations, custom developed solutions, complex integrations, data products/ science, AI/Gen AI/ Agentic AI/ Machine Learning and Business Organisational Change.  Our delivery approaches follow Agile, DevSecOps and waterfall/hybrid methodologies.

Your skills and experience

We’re looking for experienced professionals who are passionate about delivering impactful transformation projects and who thrive in collaborative, client-focused environments.   • Experience of large-scale technology transformation delivery projects, in at least two of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), large custom builds, delivery of AI solutions, Cloud migrations/ transformations and Business Change;
  • Depth of experience in at least one industry, across either public or private sectors is desirable 
  • Strong previous experience evident of leading delivery within a client facing customer-supplier commercial environment as a supplier; Scale of delivery 1,500 to 10,000 man-days and £2m to £20m direct delivery budget responsibility;Responsible for directly managing the delivery team and delivering contract outcomes; Strong people management and leadership experience, with a proven ability to motivate, lead and develop multi-disciplined teams (including global delivery teams);
  • Proven ability to shape propositions and projects that deliver effective business transformation and outcomes for clients whilst managing internal commercial and delivery risk; Creative approaches to sales and delivery challenges
  • A strong record of continuing professional development, possibly, but not necessarily, including a relevant degree or management qualification; formal qualifications in Project Management and certification in PRINCE2 (and/or MSP, M_o_P) or equivalent would be an advantage.

Job Summary

Responsible for the organisation, control and administration of circa 50 projects working concecutively and managing the detailed workplan within Group Production.  The Project Manager will work closely with UK Head of Production, to prepare comprehensive actions plans, including resources and timeframes for projects. Perform various tasks such as the management of projects, identifying and engaging with key stakeholders and communicating project updates where required. The Project Manager will complete administration tasks for projects, as well as maintaining all project documentation and handling any project related issues/queries. Ultimately, the responsibility of the Project Manager is to ensure that all project objectives planned, prioritised and completed within the timeframe whilst to meet high quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities

Group Production Project Management Planning

  • Managing, maintaining, and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures.
  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings and assigning actions where necessary.
  • Preparing and supporting necessary presentation materials for meetings such as monthly PD, QM and PM teams calls
  • Determining project changes and completing actions as required. Prioritising work where required and effectively communicating to stakeholders regarding project timeframe readjustments or delays.
  • Providing administrative support as needed.
  • Undertaking and delegating project tasks as required.
  • Developing project strategies and identifying gaps where further projects may be required (as approved by the Head of Production).
  • Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  • Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
  • Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.
  • Managing the Group Production project management plan for fulfilling each goal and objective.
  • Travel to any meeting destination as specified by the UK Head of Production.
  • Provide brief updates for our key projects to the OMT and prepare additional detailed papers / business cases for OMT when required.
  • Write or support any Production Memos and their specific actions.
  • Lead and support any other strategic Production projects as required.

IT Digital Production Programme

Regularly attend the Digital Production Programme board and provide updates on any open actions and the status of current digital production workstreams (where required).

  • Support the Digital Programme project team with writing business cases and providing cost benefit analysis.
  • Escalate issues with hardware or software to the relevant person in the Service Desk to support the site team.
  • Support and participate in hardware and application trials and testing whilst providing feedback and guidance on roll outs.
  • Support and participate in the creation of the Digital Build Quality Checklist providing production governance to ensure it meets the needs of the site teams.

Legislation Changes

  • Supporting the implementation of the Zutec platform for Part L and Fire Safety Photo Evidence and providing support to the BUs for additional training and guidance.
  • Manage any relevant Zutec queries and ensure any issues not adequately dealt with by the Service Desk are escalated or supported.
  • Ensuring guidance documents (e.g., Part L, Production Manual, Fire Safety Evidence etc.) are correct and reviewed when required.
  • Work closely with SAP assessors to ensure a positive relationship and support BUs with this where required.
  • Project manage the competence and skills workstream of the Road to Net Zero and complete detailed research to develop action plans and provide update slides to UK Production Director.
  • Support the implementation of the Building Safety Act including support in the creation of training materials and organisation of the training schedule.

Primary Responsibilities (Continued)

Employee Engagement

  • Complete employee engagement activities such as supporting with the analysis of employee engagement feedback surveys, formulating strategies, action plans and ensuring these are added into the project plan and completed.
  • Complete employee posters to provide key updates on our current projects and our response to the key themes in the employee feedback survey.
  • Provide updates to the Internal Comms team for the MD quarterly newsletter and the monthly newsletter on any key changes or projects.
  • Schedule and support with site feedback sessions and organise other sessions for site teams that may be of benefit (i.e., knowledge on rewards)
  • Manage and write Group Production Newsletter and release every quarter.

Production Efficiency

  • Work with IT to develop a Power BI dashboard to support Production teams and Group Production to make better decisions and streamline the Production process.
  • Organise workshops with the Production Directors to review their build durations and identify key stages which can be improved. Provide key data and metrics to support Production Directors in their decision making.

Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements

About the role:

This is an exciting time to join the British Museum’s Collection Care and Moves department and be part of the team delivering one of the biggest cultural renovation projects in the world.

Collection Care and Moves are responsible for the collection decant programme of the redesign of the Western Range and are looking for an experienced project manager to join the team. The successful candidate will be someone with a proven background of managing large scale, multidisciplinary projects. As well as being able to demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills, and with the ability to motivate and lead a project team of collection managers, conservators, curators, and other critical delivery roles from across the organisation.

Whilst initially focussing on the decant of large sculpture from Bloomsbury to the British Museum’s new collection storage facility in Shinfield, Reading, the role will also work closely with the department Programme Management functions to support the planning and delivery of feasibility studies and future phases of the programme.      

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Project management of a major collection storage and move project, to budget and schedule.
  • Define the methodology, resource requirements, budget and programme for each work-stream, taking in to account the specific needs of a complex and diverse collection.
  • Develop and lead a multidisciplinary project team that will include specialists based across the Museum departments.
  • Management of high-value procurement processes, specialist supply contracts and value engineering exercises to ensure best value for money.
  • Establish and maintain project controls to monitor progress, budget, risks and issues, and reporting to the Project Board, senior management and external stakeholders.

About you:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent.
  • A recognised project management qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience of managing complex projects to time and budget
  • Ability to use project management tools effectively to control risks, issues, schedules, quality and budgets
  • Proven procurement and contract management experience, including experience of value engineering

Why this role matters

Network Services needs to establish a coherent, end to end contract lifecycle management (CLM) function to bring rigor and compliance to >£500m of contract spend with the aim to reduce contract and value leakage. In order to realise this, the In-Life Partner Management team will implement and maintain a contract management process with a focus on supplier performance, implementing continuous improvement across the supplier base and establish a sustainable value pipeline that delivers the high quality standards expected by our customers.


The Partnerships Specialist works with cross functional teams in ensuring the seamless delivery of supplier commitments, defining BT Networks’ third-party approach, and positions BT Networks with select suppliers existing within the sector or sector related services and product streams.

In this role, you will be part of a diverse and passionate team who are focused on delivering outcomes. This is a new team and offers stretch and development and the opportunity to grow and develop your career.

This role can be based in London, Bristol, Birmingham or Manchester. Our hybrid working model means you are required to be in the office 3 days per week.

You'll have the following responsibilities

This is a multi faceted role where you will take ownership for a set of supplier contracts and manage the in-life relationship to provide value generating opportunities, short and long range risk mitigation and ensure supply chain sustainability.

You will manage ongoing contract management activities throughout its lifecycle, including variations, amendments, price adjustments and management of contract change notices.

In addition, you will implement appropriate supplier governance to effectively manage third parties, participate in supplier relationship governance discussions, monitor targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) reporting and publish a holistic view of supplier contract performance, ensuring that any contracted services are fit-for-purpose and value for money.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Develop strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver objectives. 
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to maximise the value of contracts throughout BT Network Services to bring optimised commercial constructs.
  • Identify process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives that will help BT Network Services meet its budgeted MTP (Medium Term Plan) obligations. 
  • Manages and grows partnerships for BT Network Services providing a clear direction to the leadership on how cross platform collaboration opportunities exist, informed by market intelligence.
  • Contributes to the wider partner management strategy that targets all aspects of services provided by partners ensuring performance.
  • Implements ways to improve working processes within the area of partnership management.
  • Coordinates the alignment of key partners with group partnership strategies, working with critical stakeholders across the unit to achieve objectives, ensuring shared objectives and cost-effective partnerships.
  • Identifies and builds new relationships with strategic partners, with the objective of agreeing areas of mutual beneficial value amongst potential partners.
  • Participates in regular review meetings with the suppliers’ account teams to report and review performance. Travel will be essential in this role in order to build relationships with stakeholders.

You'll have the following skills and experience

Ideally you will have a background in partnerships / supplier management or telecoms operations.

•    Managing risk - You act as a subject matter expert in identifying, assessing and responding to risks. You apply expert judgement to consider the business opportunities and advise key decision makers so they take the right risks at the right time.

•    Use data analytics - You coordinate and establish the development and use of data analytics to make decisions. You provide comprehensive commercial expertise to deliver data analytics capability.

•    Measuring effectiveness - You identify, set up and modify reports and tools to track operational performance for multiple areas. You guide others to review, analyse and interpret the data to generate insights for decision-making.

   Business partnership  - You advise your stakeholders and help them to navigate through business changes. You use other subject matter experts as needed to develop solutions and appropriately challenge.

   Supplier management - You identify and select new suppliers to align with our strategic goals. You lead supplier relationships and take responsibility for managing performance levels and alignment with regulatory requirements.
