We are looking to hire an experienced Senior Engineering Project Manager to join the UK team to be based in one of our centers in the Manchester, Birmingham or London areas.

Key job responsibilities
· Lead and coordinate design efforts between internal teams and outside vendors to develop optimal solutions for Amazon Logistical network, including equipment specifications and Fulfillment Centre (FC) layouts.
· Capital project management to include - Creation of conceptual drawings, equipment specifications and bid documentation to facilitate a competitive bid environment
· Provide frequent on-site monitoring and enforcement of installation schedules and vendor quality with MHE vendors/subcontractors.
· Inspect prospective and completed facilities in accordance with corporate standards and procedures, ensuring proper follow-up on snagging lists and warranty work
· Provide leadership and coordination between internal departments and MHE vendors for multiple installation sites.
· Develop and manage budget and contract documents including RFPs, change order controls, purchase orders, and invoicing
· Coordinate with local site management to ensure proper operator training, procedural compliance, maintenance practices are followed for new and existing MHE equipment
· Creating, submitting and tracking the relevant Capex documentation to ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
· Work very closely with the UK Real Estate, IT and Process teams together with the software and Operations Integration teams to ensure on time project delivery.
· Understand the Operational process in detail, including the all the relevant WMS tools used on a daily basis.
Basic Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- Strong experience in Engineering Project/Program Management - proven technical leadership experience in development and implementation of large scale, complex projects.
- Recognized experience on equipment design and layout of mechanical handling/conveyance/packaging systems.
- In-depth knowledge of standard industry practices .
- Proven experience in Automation.
- Excellent working knowledge using MS Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project, and related software
- This role includes a travelling activity of 50%
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to design, specify and layout MHE from manual to automated solutions
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, six sigma and/or Toyota Manufacturing System.
- Ability to financially justify and deliver complex solutions to capacity restraints.
- Ability to be able to switch from a 'strategic view' to a 'hands on' approach.
- Ability to lead, multi-faceted projects involving multiple disciplines.

Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics operations.

Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.

Generates project estimates for all projects ranging from new attractions, retail, restaurants, and resort hotels to entirely new theme parks. To provide supportive services to people experiencing homelessness at Osborne Grove, helping them stabilize, access resources, and move towards independent living. The worker will conduct assessments, develop tailored support plans, liaise with partner agencies, and help residents access housing, health, employment, and other services.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct detailed assessments of clients’ needs, risks, and circumstances.

Develop, implement, monitor, and adjust individual support plans.

Assist clients to access essential services: housing, healthcare, welfare benefits, job readiness / employment support

Provide crisis support / emotional support as needed

Work with people with complex needs (mental health, substance use, involvement with criminal justice, etc.)

Maintain accurate, confidential records in accordance with policies and data protection.

Collaborate with external agencies and internal colleagues to coordinate support.

Be flexible with working hours (shift work, weekends, possibly evenings)

Requirements

Experience working with people who are homeless, rough sleeping, or at risk of homelessness.

The PMO Leader will be a pivotal member of the AGR business unit, which covers three sites in Arbroath, Ballymena and Aylesbury. Reporting directly the business unit President you will also coordinate with the VP, Continuous Improvement & PMO for Convergix Automation based in the US and Canada. This position is a recognized expert in Project Management. The selected candidate will have 10+ years in an engineering and manufacturing environment, leading teams in Project Management. Ideally the candidate will have experience in custom engineered solution businesses including factory automation. This candidate will have previous experience managing and coaching Project Managers and associated PM processes/tools that are based on PMBOK fundamentals. This candidate will have led multiple improvement projects in multiple functional areas. This position is accountable for identifying and leading PM related continuous improvement projects as well as training and developing personnel to ensure standards are understood, followed, and improved


What would a typical day look like?

  • Provide and communicate a vision for the PMO and how it will improve profitability, customer satisfaction and moral
  • Oversee the planning, development and execution of AGR’s Project Management Office
  • Lead the development and standardization of processes used to execute custom automation projects and services
  • Ensure strong adherence to Convergix PM Fundamentals that pinpoint the key focus areas to promote project success and help avoid typical pit falls that result in financial degradation and customer dis-satisfaction.
  • Oversee the maintenance of AGR’s All Projects Dashboard, ensuring PMs are updating required input fields on a regular basis
  • Organize Executive Project Reviews that ensure senior management has regular visibility of the highest risk projects
  • Lead weekly project reviews with direct reports in a setting that promotes deep dives into problem areas, with an emphasis on budget and schedule degradation.
  • Assume roles and responsibilities of Process Owner for PMO at AGR, collaborating with other process owners to ensure PMO related processes are the best they can be and loaded to the document library.
  • Mentor others in the use of tools and Key Performance Indicators to monitor and control the success of customer projects
  • Evaluate PMs against the PM Skills matrix and establish annual training and development plans to elevate the skills of each PM
  • Work closely with Finance to standardize project financial reporting and ensure adequate project level summaries are provided to individual PM’s in a manner consistent with standardized PM tools and reporting expectations.
  • Build or maintain a strong team of PMs by setting high expectations of current team members and when hiring new ones.
  • Monitor high risk projects and assistance in managing project risk in any area necessary
  • Promote and support the expectation to “Beat the Budget” by providing guidance to Project teams via tools and processes.
  • Assess PM team capacity, compare to forecasted work and take action to right size the PMO.
  • Develop annual PMO budget including headcount, training, PMO related strategic initiatives, travel and expenses.
  • Help coordinate cross BU projects either sold/engineered by another BU and built by AGR, or sold/engineered by AGR and built by other BUs


What qualifies you for this role?

  • Ten years of PM leadership experience
  • Five years experience leading a Project Management Office at the corporate level.
  • 5+ years as a Project Manager for Engineering related projects.
  • Degree in a relevant discipline; MBA and Lean Six Sigma preferred
  • Formal experience with continuous improvement tools and processes such as Lean, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, Value Stream mapping, etc
  • Reliable transportation and an ability to travel; although this position is focused on local clients and minimal travel is required, you should have the ability to travel outside of the UK
