- Eagerness to engage with emerging technologies and collaborate with the team in designing solutions from inception, facilitated by effective communication skills that promote teamwork.
- Strong abilities in software design, problem-solving, and debugging.
- Enthusiasm for continuous code improvement and learning from peers.

This role is within the London Commodities Risk Technology team, focussing on our front-office trading platform. This proprietary trading platform is currently going through an exciting re-engineering phase and we are seeking to build out the development team.
This front-office risk system calculates large volumes of results data, so there are considerable challenges in data modelling, distributed processing & grid computing. Hence, we require a seasoned developer who can efficiently design and develop micro-services and components which can handle and process large amount of data with optimal performance. The application the candidate will be developing is a highly-distributed Python-based micro-services platform that uses RabbitMQ for transport and Openshift/Kubernetes for deployment.

**Role Overview/What will you do:**
