Zest are working with a highly respected food manufacturer that are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Professional to join their technical team.
The Role:
You will be instrumental in ensuring all products are safe, legal, and manufactured to the highest quality standards. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, you will drive compliance, investigate non-conformance, and support both internal systems and customer requirements through a proactive quality culture.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Maintaining compliance with customer COPs, internal systems (HACCP, QMS), and all relevant legislation.
Conducting internal audits, investigations, and compliance gap analyses.
Supporting new product launches and ensuring all associated quality documentation is in place.
Participating in customer audits and assisting in the close-out of non-conformances.
Leading or supporting complaint reduction initiatives and ensuring KPI targets are met.
Inspecting raw materials, printed packaging, and finished goods to ensure standards are met.
Active member of the HACCP team, contributing to shelf-life evaluations, product trials, and taste panels.
Experience & Qualifications:
Proven experience in food manufacturing QA roles.
HACCP Level 2 (Level 3 desirable) and Food Safety Level 3.
Internal Audit qualification (essential).
Familiarity with industry platforms such as Muddy Boots, EQMS, Hamilton Grant, SAP.
Strong communication skills and a hands-on, detail-focused approach.

The Role:
This role is part of our Saab Seaeye Business Unit in Fareham. This will be supporting the Quality Team by ensuring products and processes meet established standards by identifying, analysing, and resolving quality issues. Improve product quality through continuous improvement and other quality tools.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities:
- Defining quality standards and devising testing methods for products and processes
- Conduct internal Quality audits.
- Address the COPQ by resolution of quality issues, use of Advanced Practical Problem Solving methodologies
- Review and accept/reject change requests on behalf of the Quality department.
- Conduct fault investigations when electromechanical and electronic faults are identified from internal sources and Customer complaints/NCRs. Determine/identify root cause.
- Maintain and be the focal point of contact for the failure reporting and analysis system.
- Produce analysis from Internal and external fault matrix and propose corrective and preventative actions to prevent reoccurrence of faults identifying fault trends.
- Champion Continuous Quality Improvement.
- Assist production personnel in resolving quality issues.
- Liaise with design and production engineers to achieve/resolve root causes of failure and drive change.
- Support cross functional design reviews to ensure quality is designed in to product
General accountabilities and responsibilities:
- To use personal judgement and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles in day to day activities and procedures within the specified role.
- To maintain personal ability in, and appropriate use of, all relevant IT (Information and Technology) and other systems required to adequately perform the role.
- To act ethically, with integrity and in the best interest of the business at all times.
- To maintain a professional and supportive relationship with team members and other departments in order to deliver business objectives or deadlines.
- To carry out any other duties as detailed by a member of the management team or authorized representative.
- To ensure that the working area is a clean and safe environment in compliance with our Health and Safety policies.

Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is currently seeking a Quality Control Assistant on a temp to perm basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for Goods-in Quality Control inspection activities in accordance with Quality Plans and business requirements. This role involves the generation of Non-Conformance Reports raised against internal departments and suppliers/sub-contractors. You will play a leading role within the Quality Control team, encouraging and mentoring internal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspection of products in line with quality plans to ensure conformance (mechanical, dimensional, aesthetic, and electrical checks).
- Inspection of electrical compliance of products, including physical wiring checks and electrical testing (Hi-pot, Earth bonding, etc.).
- Collaborating closely with the Goods-in and Warehouse teams to ensure the efficient processing of incoming shipments.
- Generation of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for suppliers/sub-contractors and internal departments.
- Functioning as a Quality representative to support all other business activities and departments as required.
Job Requirements:
- Good communication skills - ability to communicate effectively with internal departments.
- Experience with electrical/mechanical working environments would be advantageous but not essential.
- Proficient level of competency with Microsoft applications (Word and Excel).
- Takes responsibility for ensuring a high quality of work.
- Keen eye for product quality to ensure client satisfaction.
- Highly motivated, self-starter, looking for career advancement and opportunities to grow with the business.
