Our well-established client are recruiting for a Quality Inspection Engineer to lead their quality office during an exciting period of growth!
Quality Inspection Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:
- Co-Ordinate the Quality office including first line management for all staff li>Controlling the inspection of all parts received from suppliers, utilising a number of manual and digital inspection and measuring devices and equipment
- Initiating and investigating all non-conforming parts
- Raising non-conformance reports and liaising with suppliers for corrective actions and countermeasures

The ideal Quality Inspection Engineer will:
- HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Experience using CMM (Manual), and other quality measuring equipment including shadowgraphs, verniers etc.
- Hands on Engineering experience
- Understanding of raw metals and their properties

The successful candidate will play a critical role, being responsible for all Quality Control aspects of manufactured products from the toolroom. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong engineering quality background with experience working to extremely high tolerances.
Role Description
- Inspection and documentation of all parts and last off samples at the end of production run
- Investigating into product performance and any customer complaints
- Representative for the whole toolroom for all 8D Quality investigations
- Organisation and documentation of any design changes, discontinued inserts or designs
- Play a key role in continuous improvement for the manufacturing process in the toolroom
- Responsible for Tool Lifecycle Assessments, working with the wider toolroom team
Skills and Qualifications
- Must have experience working in a similar role within a Toolroom engineering function
- Familiar with IATF 9001 and 14001 accreditations
- Must be able to use CMM machines, 3D scanning machines and vision systems
- Knowledge of QMS principles such as 8D, 5WHY, Fishbone
- Strong communication skills, ability to work cross functionally
